Unable To Get Back Stolen ...
So after one month of ownership I had my Ipad stolen from my hotel room. Sense it was connected to mobile-me, I was able to lock the device, but I am sure it has been wiped by now. Does anyone know if apple can do anything? I would think that the serial number is detected in the sync process, so if anyone adds it to there itunes account it would be visible, but I am probably out of luck.

My girlfriend's iPad got stolen the other day. She didn't have a mobileme account nor did she have any other tracking software. If the thief did a factory reset and took out the sim card can she still track it? or is she SOL? Can she find it through iTunes or from the serial number? She is really bummed and I'm probably going to have to work a lot of overtime to buy her another one.

I do not have mobileme because I was planning to sell it. I posted an ad on craigslist. I got a call and met up with someone. I was waiting for this person when someone came out of nowhere and took it and ran. I tried to chased after him but he cut into the woods onto a road. I'm guessing he had someone waiting for him. Anyways, I made a police report already. Aside from that, I don't have the box so I don't know my serial number. I brought a macbook, iphone, and ipad all from the apple store so would they be able to tell me my serial number? I also called my homeowners insurance and they cover theft but I would need proof that I brought the ipad or have the serial number. Can apple provide this? I already read other stories so I know I won't have much of a chance of getting the ipad back. Thus I'm depending on my insurance which I know covers it but I need to know if apple can give me the serial number and proof of my purchase. It's pass business hours so I can't talk to an apple representative currently.

Today may 29th 2010 My Ipad was stolen from my car,its less than 10 days old.I was at the mall where they have an apple store>I confidently walked back into the mall heading to the apple store knowing for a fact that apple will help me and the police(i filed a police report) to locate the stolen Ipad since it has a built in GPS and i have the serial number.They furiously refused and very coldly and carelessly said that they do not do that and they dont even have any database for stolen apple products and they will not track my ipad what so ever.I sware to god they did not even say sorry for my loss.Here iam walking to the apple store with all confident and hope only to face the harsh fact that really they didn't care.Eventhough they can help and they can track and they have the capability to but they wont. Worse thing is it isn't my ipad and i have to pay for new one now that i cant afford.

My computer was stolen, along with all files in it. Luckily a few days before the tragedy, I synced all photos to my new iPad. Now that I got my new Macbook, I want all my existing photos (10,000+ of them) transferred to the new notebook. But when I open iPhoto, none of my photo on iPad can be seen. In my iPad, these photos are kept in two folders -- iPhoto Library and Photo Booth (they r from the one I took via Macbook). Pls help! iPad holds all my photos, and I cannot take any risk having all my life (including my wedding and baby's birthday pics) in one mobile device like this. I have not tried syncing my iPhone 3Gs with the new Mac yet, from there, I also want all my VDO clips transferred. (But as they are on camera roll, I think it should not be a problem??)

I was called into work today as we had been burgled. Amounst other things there were two iMac, iPad 2`s and iPods stolen. Now, I had Find My iPad on my devices and location services activated. My iPad was locked and requires my pin number to unlock. I have logged into iCloud to see if my iPad has been located but no joy as yet :-( My question is, if anyone has a good knowledge of how Find My iPad works, does the device have to be actually joind to a wireless network to be tracked or simply being turned on?? Also, if the theives hooked the iPad upto iTunes and wiped it clean, would that render Find my iPad useless?

Someone broke into my house and stole my iPad and I can't find it yet with the find my iPhone app but I'll like to make a suggestion that in iOS 6 they add a feature that when you click the email me when found button it sends a picture of the person to your email also.

Unable To Back Up
I have a PC with windows 7 fully updated. When I try to backup my ipad - either by right clicking on the device in itunes or during the sync the back up starts and then after 5 mins or so my ipad decides to reboot itself. The device drops from itunes and then reappears when the ipad has completed its reboot.My ipod touch works fine - both back up and sync.i have uninstalled and reinstalled itunes.I have tried other USB ports on my pc.

Ethnic Literature class and the professor was a little late so as we waited this girl next to me was playing on her iPad and was showing me some game. She said "Do you think I have time to use the bathroom before he comes?" and I said yeah and she asked me to please watch her iPad. I said yes so she left and not 20 seconds later I get a call. Run outside to answer and cone back 1 minute later it's gone!!! I looked around, asked people. We were seated at the very back of room so nobody saw who stole it.Girl came back I had to watch her cry and call me a terrible person and cry tears. I have an iPad with 3.2 and is Jailbroken with Spirit. I have to take it back to Apple for possible replacement. When I go to restore back to factory settings, I get a dialog box that says it will restore to most recent firmware 3.2.2.
From what I understand, 3.2.2 can't be jailbroken which is what I want to do after I get back from the Apple store. Of course if they give me a new iPad, it will likely have 3.2.2, correct?
Can I go back to 3.2 from 3.2.2? Either with my current iPad or one that they give me? Please help me understand. I've been researching and can't get a clear answer
Unable To Go Back A Screen?
I opened an Excel spreadsheet as an email attachment and it opened full screen with no buttons to go back. I was unable to go back to the mail app and when I click the home button and then the mail app it took me back to the spreadsheet. I had to reboot.

Last week, I was using my iPad and noticed that the bottom right corner was elevated maybe 1.5mm above the screen. .
After further examination, I realized the back of the iPad is bowed. If I sight down the long sides, it is painfully obvious.
Also, will they sell a replacement back? How much do they charge if not covered under warranty, to replace it?
