Aug 30, 2014My iPad 2 opens in mute mode when first turned on. I can raise the volume and all is well until I turn it off and then turn it back on. ??

Jun 21, 2012I noticed iPad mute button does not mute youTube videos or games. When the button is set to mute, videos or games have their own sound so I have to adjust it manually only after I can hear the sound.

Jan 4, 2014I have tried the Apple user forum and received conflicting answers about the mute button. When I have the switch set up to mute and then use it, it does not mute music or anything though it says in the bell that comes up that what I choose was muted but was not. Apple always wants to reset.. other users say it only mutes for something's and not for music? Others have he the same problem worked well with iPad2 what the mute button really does and/or can I get it to work as I feel it should.

Nov 25, 2010If I flip the mute button down, it shows that my sound is now muted. I start up Dominion HD (after making sure it was not in the background) and I hear the music at startup. I have to go back to the rocker switch to actually mute audio. Any ideas on how to make the mute button mute the audio?

Nov 27, 2010i was watching a movie the other night when someone called me, i thought using the 'new' mute button would be quick and easy but it didn't actually mute the video, it kept playing. after i ended my call i tried to see if it would mute music but that didnt work either? i was wondering if anyone had a solution to this?

After upgrade to 4.2.1, the hardware switch that used to lock the screen is now broken.Switching to the up position shows a speaker and the current volume.Switching to the down position shows a speaker with a slash through it.Neither position affects the volume of what's currently playing.

Aug 17, 2011See the picture where my iPad 1 is in landscape mode, but the icons stay in portrait mode. Not a big issue since just rotating the iPad to force the layout to update fixes the issue. Seems to happen when unlocking but still cannot figure out how I can trigger this. (yep, I tried locking in portrait mode, then flipping in landscape mode to unlock).

IPad 2 Connecting To Wireless Via G Mode And Not N Mode
Oct 23, 2011I currently have a D-Link DIR 655 router and have the router set to transmit in N, G, and B mode. At first I only had my router transmit G and B but the signal wasn't reaching a far corner of my house so I went in and added N because it's supposed to be stronger, faster, and better performing. After adding N to the signal that the router transmits, I can't really say that I've seen any improvement in the signal for the iPad2.
I just logged into my router settings and it shows that the iPad2 is connected via G mode and only receiving 36 mpbs while my other non-apple laptop is connected and receiving data at 54 mpbs. The wireless channel is only transmitting at 2.4 ghz but it is set to auto scan.
I'm not sure why the iPad2 isn't connecting via N mode and since it is connecting through G mode, why is it connecting slower?
Camera On Ipad 2 Opens With BLACK Screen
May 16, 2012Intermittently, when I open the camera on my Ipad2 the screen is just black rather than showing what the lens is pointing at. If I press the button, I hear a click like it is taking a picure, but nothing shows on the screen. The lens is not covered! sometimes the problem clears up on its own.

IPad Mini :: ITunes Opens With Popup Window
Dec 9, 2014my friend forgot the passcode of his new ipad mini immediately after the initial configuration and never synced with itunes. now ipad is inactive asking to connect with itunes. after following all proper steps URL.... to connect with itunes, The following happens.
1. iTunes opens with the pop up window "The software of the ipad needs to restored to factory settings or updated". I clicked Restore.
2. next step asks me to press "Restore and Update". I clicked that.
3. It contacts ipad software update server.
4. Server asks to agree with terms and conditions. ok done that.
5. download of 1.94GB of ipad update starts.
6.But 15 mins after connecting to itunes, ipad exits from the recovery mode by itself.
7. After the download of 1.94GB is completed, when i tried to connect ipad in recovery mode again to restore and update, steps from 1-6 happens again.
