IPad :: Constantly Freezing / Crashing - Parts Of Screen Unresponsive
iPad constantly glitching/freezing/crashing/parts of screen unresponsive - time for a factory reset OR a trip to the Apple store???
My son has nothing but problems with his iPad Mini. It is less than a year old and it constantly freezes/crashes/glitches and parts of the screen are unresponsive. This happens while playing games, watching movies, surfing the net etc etc
The iPad has been in a heavy duty Survivor case from day 1 and has been very well taken care of - so I don't think it's a damage issue
I have tried numerous resets (just holding the 2 buttons) and have disabled every feature on the iPad that might be causing memory/RAM issues (?) all to no avail.
I haven't tried resetting to factory settings as I don't want to lose all the data on the iPad (mostly his game achievements and Minecraft maps that he has worked so hard on!!!)
1) Take it in to the Apple Store - I have never gone to Apple over an issue, is this possibly covered by warranty???
2) Factory Reset - If I do this can I save all his game achievements/data???
Changing Default Font Size For Web Browsing?
I'm looking to purchase an iPad for an older relative. In general, it looks perfect for her except...there's no way to change the default font size when browsing the web! You're stuck with Safari's tiny font (and, no, continuously zooming in and out isn't what I'm looking for. Just want to increase the font and have it flow/wrap within the columns like browsers do on just about every other platform). Can't find anything in Safari settings or accessibility settings. Not possible? Horrible limitation if so, especially for older folks.

Is there a way from the iPad, or from my MacBook to the iPad, that I can increase the size of the font when typing outgoing mail? I use MobileMe on both my iPad and MacBook. My sister has cataracts and she needs the type size larger than what is already set on the iPad outgoing mail. I can make the type size larger for my incoming mail - I guess I did it through iPad settings -but I can't seem to figure out how to make it larger for my outgoing mail. I would prefer to be able to answer her on my iPad than having to switch back to my Mac each time she writes.

The text size on some websites is too small.
It seems there is no way to increase the text size in Safari on the iPad mini.
The text size saved in general iPad preferences does not effect the Safari browser.
This function is normal in most browsers. Odd that it is not available on a device that obviously has a small screen!

I am wondering how big the iPad's screen really is comparing.. (Don't say 9.7") Is it as big as an pocket book? Or what can I compare it too. Haven't seen one since they aren't out here yet. Also, if I buy mine in another country, and I do text input with pages or some kind of text editor, can I set it so that it correct my spelling in my own language or just doesn't correct it at all? Just wondering if anyone has presented using keynote on iPad, coupled with the VGA connector of course. How did you find it?The lack of presenter view is such a major fail in my opinion. It almost defeats the purpose of using keynote on iPad in the first place. Wouldn't apple think "ok, they are creating presentations in keynote. They might want to, you know, actually present the slides at some point. And when they are presenting, they might want to actually see the slides that they are presenting, you know, on the iPad"
