to upgrade to the 32GB 3G iPad, but didn't want to return it with a restocking fee)
So I get there (a restaurant) and I spot him, we sit down to arrange. He pulls out an envelope and places it next to me. A waitress comes up to us (we were seated at a table) and asks if we're ordering anything... I told her no we're just gonna be here for 2 minutes tops, and she explained we can't be there if we're not customers. While turning my attention to her, that's when the guy literally just grabbed my iPad, bolted out like he was running from a psycho killer. Just JETTED out there, I stood no chance. All I could do was shout out "Somebody call the police!" and chase after him, but he had already rounded the corner, was about halfway down the block, and slid into a waiting car w/ driver.
I need a secure to store credit card numbers, bank account numbers and various passwords. I need to be able to access this information from my Ipad 2, mobile phone (Android based) or another internet connected computer. I was thinking about something like Dropbox. However, I am concerned about security (hacker, dishonest Dropbox employee, ect).

View 1 RepliesHey everyone! I bought an iPad at the Apple store with WiFi and a data plan. My question is, if I've already paid those $15-20 for the data plan, why do I have to put my credit card information when I activate the cellular data account? Mods: If this is not the right place to post my question, please excuse my ignorance and feel free to put this thread where it needs to be!

What are the safety issues involved when an iTunes account is set up? Can the card number and the cvv number be stolen? Can false transactions take place? What if the device iPad or iPod or iPhone is stolen? Can the thief run up a large bill?

View 6 RepliesImagine using your iPhone/iPad instead of a credit card the next time you go shopping, or out to dinner. That is what a patent filled by Apple is suggesting. You go into an app, and it communicates with the store/restaurant, you hit a few buttons and everything is done. Sound like it has potential, but it would take a long time to be wide spread.
View 2 RepliesSo up until recently I've been able to buy an itunes card instead of credit card. My card was stolen years ago so I no longer add my card. What's the point of having itunes cards when you can't use it? How can I bypass adding a credit card?

I am installing a number of iPads for my office. I am following the same steps. I installed two iPads with no problems, but on the third, I cannot install apps because when I sign in with my existing Apple ID, I can't move forward without entering a credit card number. We will not be using credit cards on these devices, thus this is a major problem.
