How to remove credit card info on a iPad!!!

I want to take my credit card info off of the app store. Every time I try to download a app even if it's free it takes about a billing info it's annoying!

iPad 2, iOS 5.1.1

iTunes never asks me about or talks billing information no matter whether I download a purchased app or a free app.

Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and then tap View Apple ID. Enter your password. Go down to Payment Information and tap that to edit or remove your credit card information.

If you are being asked for payment info when you want to download an app, either a free app or one that you pay for, then you do not have your Apple ID account set up properly. You need to add credit card info there. That info will. Be on your iPad.
