I set up my email while I was at work on my ipad2. Then I came home and after that time never have taken my iPad to work. At home I have a wireless router. I can surf the web fine. But there is no wifi icon on my iPad. It ha disappeared. Also in the settings if I try to turn the wifi on it does not stay on but Internet connection works fine. I don't have the 3G iPad 2.

I've had my iPad for a couple of weeks now, and I've nothing but problems maintaining a connection to my wireless router (D-Link WBR-2310) - the router works perfectly with other Wi-Fi devices (non-Apple), but with the iPad 6 inches from the router, the connection fails. It's gotten progressively worse until now it won't connect at all. I've tried a system reset, tried all of the suggestions posted here and elsewhere on the Web - it simply doesn't work. The iPad is defective, plain and simple. This HAS to be resolved. Running iOS 3.2.2 (7B500)

I am planning to purchase iPad 3 but before buying, I am reading many reviews of the device. In the same process, I came across the article of developer of Xmotion and they have written that "new iPad doesn't have the GPS chip set required".What does it really mean? Does this iPad works without WiFi?

View 1 RepliesI would like to buy an iPad 3 wifi+3G but I am not sure if the connectivity will work properly without 4G connection. My country does not have 4G, just 3G and edge.
View 1 RepliesMy wifi works ok at home, connects straight away, but outside of home, it connects to BT hotspots for a few seconds, then disconnects.
This is the same as other Wifi such as Thecloud, 02wifi, etc ....

I can't figure out why my new ipad (3) works for 10-15 minutes then it stops. The wifi seems to just slow down and I get Cannot Open Page because the server stopped responding. I have tried to reset the time capsule router, I have done a reset of the ipad and also reinstalled the iOS.

I have the iPad 2 with ios 7. It worked perfectly fine for a long time, but two or three weeks ago, the wifi signal dropped dramatically unless I stood in the same room as the router. The router is in a central location in my house. When I walk away, I drop down to one bar, and sometimes it loses connection entirely. I have tried to use this iPad in public places like Starbucks and the apple store and it works fine there. I have dropped my iPad a few times, so could this be an antenna issue? I had a genius bar appointment, and the apple employee brought up this idea and reset my iPad completely, hoping it would work, but the reset did no charm. I have tried researching many ways to resolve this wifi issue, butintone have worked.
View 3 RepliesI can't connect to wifi network on campus now that I've updated my iPad to iOS 4.2.1. The odd time when I can connect, the Internet takes forever to load a page & often it just times out making my wifi only iPad useless at school (the reason I bought the thing)
Meanwhile my iPhone on 4.2.1 works on the school wifi with no problems. My iPad works on every other wireless network I've tried except for the campus one. I've even tried resetting my network settings & resetting my iPad but nothing works

I have a wifi only version of the ipad and have been having very reliable wifi service ever since i got this second one (first one was returned). Only issue I have had is an occasional blinking wifi indicator that would blink off then back on every couple of minutes or so but then didnt last to long but now comes along this update which I do yesterday and today now the ipad says "connecting" but dont connect to the internet. The wifi icon is completly gone now and when I go to setting-network to look for my router-network its no where to be found actually it finds no networks in range in which it used to find a few from around my neighborhood. In the settings menu wifi is turned "on" and "ask to join networks" is also on. Now before you get discouraged about updating if u havent done so I was able to get my wifi back by pressing and holding the small power button on the side powering it off and then restarting it and bam there it was wifi icon at full bars again and getting 12.2 mbps down and 2.90 up! Point is I never had to do that before and just did that restart as I am typing this thread so I hope that I don't have to do this repeatedly. If anyone else has had this problem please let me know, I allways advocate doing any and all updates provided by a manufacture but the update is supposed to alleviate problems not create them.
View 4 RepliesWhen I'm away from Wifi, is the GPS supposed to work on my 3G iPad without my having purchased a month's data plan? Or do I have to have a 250MB or an Unlimited to have any GPS functionality?
