Browsing Internet Like MacBook Pro Or IPhone?
Jan 29, 2010In therms of speed of loading pages etc. Will it be the speed of my macbook pro or more like the iphone which is a bit slower even when connected to the same wifi network.

Sharing Internet Provided By USB Modem / IPhone Tethering On Macbook
Oct 28, 2010i am getting my 64GB wifi+3G iPad soon. i would be visiting the part of the world where there is no 3G network provider for iPad. however, iPhone 3G would be supported. i will have my macbook running OS X tiger with me and i tether my iPhone to it. my question : can i use the tethered internet connection on iPad via the macbook's wifi port?
also i use a USB modem to connect to the mobile internet network on macbook. can i share this connection with ipad?
please detail the setup for the above 2 scenarios.
i don't want my iPhone 3G to be jailbroken.

Apr 16, 2010Holding the Internet in your hands is a must-have experience. iPad gives me that experience in a way no other device ever has, and since I got mine, I find the old way of browsing to be unsatisfying at some level. On my laptop, for example, the content.especially site navigation -- seems distant now.I keep wanting to touch the screen, or....interact with it somehow, only I can't.And the screen size and quality on iPad really make things pop. Now, the screen on other computers seems too far away or something.

Jul 30, 2010I was browsing the internet, and my iPad screen turned very weird.(See http://img210.imageshack.us/i/img4264k.jpg/). But if I turn the brightness all the way up, it's back to normal(see http://img717.imageshack.us/i/img4263u.jpg/). And for some reason, when I wanted to take a picture of it on lower brightness, it would let me change it(I turned off auto-brightness) I had to hold my finger over the ambient light sensor for it to go down. If I need to, I'll try restoring. If that doesn't work, I guess I'll have to go to an Apple Store.

If we add proxy details to the wireless he can browse the net but cant receive email. How I can get both to work if on wireless?

Sep 10, 2014My iPad Air has recently been having major display issues as shown in the image. This only seems to occur when I'm browsing the internet either in Safari or Chrome. The only way I can get it to disappear is when I turn the screen off and on with the sleep/wake button. I've restarted the iPad holding down the home and sleep/wake button but the issue still occurs.
Is this something that is known and can be solved quickly or should I take the iPad Air back to Apple as I'm still under the 1 year warranty.
(I've recently had to take an iPad Air back to Apple for a separate issue, so this particular device is only 5 days old)

Share Internet From Macbook To It Via USB?
Jul 21, 2011I am trying to connect my wifi iPad to my MacBook and share my MacBook's wifi internet with the iPad through USB (since obviously I can't share it through wifi). I'm wanting to do this in order to use my DisplayPad app -- I'm using a Starbucks wifi connection so, while both the macBook and the iPad can connect to the wireless, it doesn't see them as being on the same network (I guess Starbucks uses client isolation or similar). There are no ethernet connections here so my macbook can only connect through wifi, which leaves USB as the only way of connecting my ipad to my macbook. Is there any way to share the network to the iPad via USB?

Dec 10, 2014I am currently using my iPad mini and an Apple TV connected to a projector in my classroom. I used to have a small USB powered wireless access point connected to the school's wired connection, but the head IT guys downtown said its not allowed. Now I'm using my MacBook to share the wired connection wirelessly to both the Apple TV and the iPad. I can browse without any issues on both devices using this method, but I can't mirror my iPad mini's display onto the Apple TV anymore. The AirPlay icon shows up on the iPad, but when I click on it, it doesn't work. Is there any way to get AirPlay mirroring to work using my MacBook to share the internet connection?

It goes into my cameral roll, and when I sync to my Macbook (running Snow Leopard), it goes into my iPhoto as an event or a part of an event.Now when I sync my iPad, and I select photo events that include video clips I've taken on my iPhone, they don't sync over to the iPad so I can't play/watch them on my iPad.
