So the iPad only has 256mb of RAM. Sure, this is fine for a lot of apps, and the iOS is highly optimized and streamlined. But for Mobile Safari, it really sucks. As I'm sure many of you know, tabs reload all the time. This rarely happens on my 3GS, but happened all the time on my iPhone and iPhone 3g. So why wouldn't they include 512mb or 1gb? Well, the obvious answer is price. But doesn't that seem like a small price to pay for sacrificing the user experience?
I might be overlooking something obvious, but how can I get my home video movies from PS camera that makes videos at 320x320 pixels play at actual size on iPad AND NOT STRETCHED TO THE WIDTH OF THE SCREEN, WHICH PIXELATES THE VIDEOS.
Even in portrait the videos are pixelates because they are scaled up to iPad screen width.
My Photos Got Resized To Very Small Size When Transfered To It
Sep 4, 2011
Im using ipad 1 with os 4.2.1. I have a problem when transferring photos from my pc to my ipad. The JPG files im transferring is 5mb in my pc and when they are transferred to ipad, they become around 500kb. When i try RAW files, the itunes convert them into JPG with 500kb size as well.
I have downloaded some films from iTunes. When I am watching them they are playing in just a small screen within my iPad screen. Is this normal or is there a way to view them on the full size of my screen? I have tried double tapping the screen but nothing happens.
All Icons And Keypad Appearing Small In Size After 4.2.1 Upgrade
Feb 8, 2011
That is what's happening with my iPad, all icon shrunk, key pad is iPod size, icons all spaced out, dock restricted to 4 icons. This happened after upgraded to 4.2.1 and jb with Greenpois0n. This happened after re-booting and installed with some iphone apps from cydia. I removed all installed iphone apps from Cydia and and it went back to normal. It happened one more time, I reset activator to default and resprung and it became normal again. I am wondering if iphone apps from cydia is compatible with 4.2.1?
I've had it for just a couple of hours but already am getting quite fed-up at just how much is wrong with the iPad. Ok, so there's all the things like no SD slot etc., but I'm also annoyed that the iPad iWork apps don't support iWork '08. I can't believe I have to now buy iWork 09 to make my docs compatible.
And also the screen. We're a good decade into 16:9 and a few years into HD but the iPad has a 4:3 screen. For a device that is designed for watching videos, that seems really, really odd. A nice, big 10" screen but movies come out TINY!
General :: How To Change Small Font Size Of Comment Section In YouTube
Nov 28, 2013
I watch many things on Youtube, either by the app Youtube or by typing Youtube in browser. When I want to read the comments under a video, the font size is too small. I have changed my font to bold and font size in settings but this does not change the size of text in the comment section on Youtube.
I converted my Caon Raw images to jpeg (1024x768) for synchronising with the iPad. On my Windows PC it's a volume of 720MB. After synchronising I've a volume of 5,9GB at the iPad. How can I reduce that volume?
Air Print Paper Size - Sending It As The Wrong Paper Size
Nov 17, 2010
I have a Epson wifi printer its a Pw700 and setup the air print with IOS 4.2 on my iPadWhen I click print on the iPad it sends the print but the printer doesn't print because it's sending it as the wrong paper size. I don't see any options to change the paper size on the iPad
I recently got a Protege laptop that is really small and powerful, dual core, iCore3, I coulda got an iCore7 but not as small as the one I got I have been using the laptop more often and more than the iPad, u can say my iPad is collecting dust now but I plan I keeping the iPad, since the battery last much longer and its thinner and lighter then the laptop I got..
We've got a couple of requests for iPads here in the workplace which I want to bounce some of scenarios off people. I've looked through the Enterprise docs, but they're perhaps overkill - we're only a small educational institution so don't have a lot of resources to spare settting up an infrastructure for two iPads. I'm not too bothered about centralised deployment of apps or managed configuration but the users who would get these do have some questions:
1: they want it as a shared departmental resource rather than belonging to a single person. Not in terms of multi-user, but in terms of multiple people being able to put files onto it (i.e., give it to the office junior to load up with files before the manager takes it out to a marketing presentation). Is that possible? I know I read that it can only be synced with one computer/iTunes, but what if all of the office computers had iTunes using the same shared account? The Enterprise docs say that iTunes is optional, but in that case how would you get data onto it?
2: one of them is going to be shared by two people (us in the IT department getting it for 'testing' most of the time, on the understanding that when they need both simultaneously we let them have it back ) Is the best thing with that to use backup/restore to switch it between users? I'd rather that it didn't go back and forth with apps and data belonging to the other person - they'll have financial stuff on it that we don't want to be responsible for, and I'd be reluctant to buy apps if it was on an account that wasn't 'mine' for when I buy my own
3: Assuming we do backup/restore to switch users for 2, is there any way to install (some) apps to the device rather than the user. Or would I need to buy two copies of a particular app to run on one device when synced with two different accounts? Is this something where centralised app deployment would help? I'm guessing I can't have this both ways which is fine, as long as I know...
Ok no this is no rumor just an idea collection I'm starting. Submit any ideas you think would make it into any future iPad releases.
Ok so here is my idea:
Bigger and better. I would like to have a 13" touchpad at my disposal. I just find that it is too small for my kind of multitasking. it would be the ultimate tool. but for this i would prefer to have a mac OS rather than the small iOS systems. i wanna macbook on a touchscreen in simple terms. It would in fact be possible. it may not be as portable, but it would be great just the same.
I need to enlarge the fonts on the ipf app. I can't see anything without my reading glasses, which makes this forum useless on those days that I forget...
