I searched the user manual but I can't find a way to remove apps from iPad. Did I miss something? I have one - a magazine - that comes in Italian for some reason. i don't speak or read Italian. Then again, when I first got my iPad it's language was set to Italian and I had a devil of a time figuring out how to change it to English.
Won't Remove Calendars / Can't Find Option To Remove
Jun 11, 2010
When I did my initial "sync", the process entered all of my calendars onto my iPad. They are not "connected" to caldav, exchange, etc. and do not update. So, what I'd like to do is to remove all calendars and add them manually. However, I've not found a way to do this - any suggestions? I have removed the mail accounts (and will re-enter them) but I haven't found the method for removing calendars yet.
Applications Missing Some Functionality Applications
Apr 8, 2010
I have noticed that in a few apps there is missing functionality of an app on the iPad as compared with the same app on the iPhone. Also found that HD movie content will not always play on the iPad, looks like it needs the same format as the iPhone or Touch. Even HD movies from iTunes did not play, it used the SD version of the movie.
Having a blast with the Netflix app, but am having trouble figuring out how to get rid of the info bar that displays the time and battery level at the top of the screen. It ruins the immersion factor.
Sometimes I have it, other times I don't. I have noticed that on the floating control set, if I press the minimize/maximize button, it stops playback and kicks me back to the site.
Is there a set procedure to remove any info from old Ipad when you purchase another one?I'm selling the one I have and purchasing another one. What do I do within Itunes, if anything?Or will it simply recognize the new Ipad? Do I delete old Ipad? If so, how?
Just be careful, whoise who wish to use velcro to stick their ipads to their car dashboards. The adhesive on those velcro strips will melt into a god awful goo in the heat of a car parked in the sun. It will never come off unless you want to ruin your dashboard and the back of your iPad.I work for a large police dept, we use the velcro to attach radar units. It works fine on flat surfaces, even when it turns to goo, but it will ruin your dashboard. I don't see this working for long on a steep angle in a blazing hot car. After awhile you can remove the velcro and just use the nasty sticky goo left behind to stick your ipad to everything
If you remove the AT&T sim which comes with the iPad, and then after removing it go into the cellular data settings, does the 'My Account' and the option to buy credit from AT&T disappear or does it stay there even with no sim?
my school gave me a ipad the only problem is they added all these programs to restrict it they blocked safari, facetime , and restricted apps and other things i figured out the program is in a locked profile on the iPad can anyone tell me how to remove the locked profil
They made me first removed all the apps, then re-install the apps back to the iPad. That didn't work, so then they had me do a restore to factory settings and that didn't work either. The two icons still remained and couldn't delete them from the iPad either. I got my money back for the civil war app though. They could not figure it out why the problem still exists. I am not going to go thru all that hassle again, so I am stuck with two icons still saying loading. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem with any of their apps that couldn't be removed nor be updated. The original downloads for those apps worked fine, but when it came time to update them the problem started. I'm not willing to try anything drastic again because twice was enough thru apple support.
I joined an open wi-fi by mistake.I want to remove it from the list, but want to keep all the other networks I have joined in the past. How do I remove only the one network from the list in the iPad.
I find the iPad lock screen so dam annoying. On a mobile phone, yes, sure I can understand having a lock screen, but why do we need one (or one we can't turn off) on a tablet? Doing my Christmas card list and as I'm writing cards and addresses, the iPad turns off, which is fine, then I have to press the button and swipe to bloody lock screen again. I don't need or want a lock screen when I'm using a device at home.
The pin resulted from my dropping a purple pin and converting it to a bookmark. I have deleted the bookmark and cleared the search box but the red pin persists.
