Since the 7.1.2 update bluetooth are no longer support on ipad 4 and on iphone 4.
I think we will wait until ios 8 release , which I find unacceptable on the part of apple.
And how I am supposed to do with the iphone , lastest version for iphone 4 ?

Is the iPad not colour aware in the sense that it recognises and uses ICC profiles embedded in images?Secondly, it's a great shame the display can not be calibrated. So much for portfolio display or any work that is colour sensitive.
View 4 RepliesAs a businessman I use my iPad and iPhone for important business related content and the same time my family uses the same device,I am afraid that my children may delete or misuse my content thus this update is important.
View 3 RepliesI guess my question is, why can't iTunes have profiles for both the iPhone and iPad? This is quite annoying. If anyone knows of a work around,
View 7 RepliesThe new firmware for the iPad should come either with:1- Profiles. So that more than one user can log into it2- Password Protection for the Mail.In my case, as I am sure is for many more people, kids love to play games in the iPad. However, it has become a working tool for me specially when traveling and for meetings.I would like to prevent my kids from using my mail application as I do not know what they could be deleting or in worst case responding. What is the possibility of adding any of these protections to the iPad.
View 2 RepliesWatching the keynote now...just saw that it supports ICC profiles. This is what I, as a designer, need to get accurate color reproduction. How long before we can calibrate our iPad with a Spyder 3? I've said it for awhile now, the iPad is ALSO for content creation.
View 2 Repliesi have both the iPhone 3GS and the iPad.On the iPad, I am not going to put any music, just movies, tv shows, apps and books. On the iPhone, I'll put all my music and apps. But what i just found out is that since I am not syncing music to the iPad, when i just synced my phone, it removed everything.I guess my question is, why can't iTunes have profiles for both the iPhone and iPad? This is quite annoying.
View 4 RepliesIs there any option to have multiple profiles on iPad2? Please give me sufficient information regarding it.
View 1 RepliesThe guy at the Apple store said that the iPhone security profiles we use in my company should work with my iPad. I noticed that you cannot sync those through iTunes. Not surprised there. But with it being Saturday I won't be able to test this out until Monday when I talk with our IT guys. Anyone already done this though? I'm hoping to be a step ahead of our IT guys who will likely get a fair amount of questions come monday.

Is it possible to use the Apple Configurator Released on Mac OS X to 'push' profiles and settings, but delete the previous settings before it installs the new ones? Or does it Delete the settings as it is installing the new settings?

When I attempt to use Apple Configurator with 30 iPad2's with a MacBook Pro (Lion 10.7.3), Apple Configurator 1.0.1, and Bretford cart in Unsupervised Mode. With two profiles assigned in the prepare stage (enforcing a passcode requirement and adding web clips; not that complex at this testing stage), it never completes. The status of all devices after completion: Tap device to install profile. Naturally, I could not do that with 30 of these devices at once, so after only a minute or so of this it will error out sequentially saying: Can't install profiles.
I still can run through the setup assistant and everything else on individual iPad's, but it will definitely mess up any attempt at seriously prepping these things for deployment in advance. Is this seriously by design? We are piloting these devices at the instution, and Apple's promise of the Layered Ownership Model is still Institutionally Burdensome (excuse the pun).

Is it possible to disable the Messages App all together through profiles or a Management tool on an iPad in an enterprise situation?
Currently we are having issues with this App in a work place and want to disable it all together. I've looked through the iPhone Configuration Utility and there doesn't seem to be any option for this.

I plan to get one eventually and I would like to see a version released soon that allows for multiple users. The OS shouldn't have a problem with it. I gave my kids (5,3)my 1st gen iPhone and they love it. I can restrict the apps on it and it works out great. Didn't care too much since it was an expensive paper weight after I got the 3GS. But when I get the iPad it's going to be for me and the kids. I really don't want to have to go into settings every time my kids touch the thing. Let them mess up their apps not mine. I can't think of any software issue for the lack of it. The only reason I can come up with is multiple copies of an app that was purchased once, but we can do that already so I don't know.

I already have a dock - I'm interested in the bluetooth keyboard, but won't be using it all the time. I'd like to use it sometimes and use the onscreen at other times (on the go or for quick text). To do this, do I need to disable/enable bluetooth each time? Does bluetooth enabled drain the battery faster (and if so, by how much)? If I disable bluetooth and then re-enable it, do I need to re-sync the keyboard or will it remember the settings?
