I recently bought an ipad mini and need to change the username and password on the app store

I bought an Ipad mini with retina display from someone and now have my own Id but their name and password are on the appstore icon. How do I put my own name and password so I can download and purchase apps? Or should I delete the appstore app and download a new one?

iOS 7.1.2, ipadmini with retina display

That person doesn't remember the password. If I turn off the iCloud Find my...can I do something with that?

You can only turn it off if you have the password, so you must rely on the person you bought it from. If he can't or won't remove it from his account it is of no use to you and you should return it get your money back.

The previous owner must either: remove the Apple ID and password from the device, or login to the iCloud account and remove the device from the listing in Find My Phone.

The previous owner can get or change the password for the Apple ID by going to http://iforgot.apple.com

The apps on the device that were installed by the previous owner are permanently tied to that person's Apple ID and cannot be transferred. All you can do is delete them and download again under your Apple ID so they belong to you.
