ipad2 keeps scrolling through apps, safari etc and I cant stop it. What do I do?

The Restore should have embraced a Reset but try it again [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. The screen will go blank and then power ON again in the normal way.] It is 'appsolutely' safe!

Try wiping the screen clean. Some sweat or water can cause this never-ending scrlling in one direction.
