Only few app synced after restore to factory settings

I just restore my ipad air. I started the restore process and a few applications was synced (6 or so) after that no other application or music or whatever was synced. The status bar on Ipad show the syncing wheel turning and iTunes shows that the same application is syncing. I tried a reset all content and settings with no luck. I also did a restore to factory and no luck. The ipad was running the sync process for the whole night, so I'm assuming it is not a matter of time. Any ideas ? thanks
