Screen Blank, Plugged in, Wont Turn on

Hey My battery was very low. The screen went black. I plugged it into the wall. its been 20 minutes. It wont turn on. There is no charging icon. The 10 watt wall connector is not warm to the touch.

has this happened to anybody else?

What gives?

12" powerbook, Mac OS X (10.4.8)

Try plugging it into your computer and putting it in DFU mode.

I just popped to the shops for 20 mins, iPad was perfectly happy with about 80% charge. Got back and its totally dead. Nothing will bring it back. Wont charge.

What is causing this?

Have you turned it on? What happened when you plug it to iTunes?

Mine is doing the same thing...I have no idea why...going to take it to Apple to see what the problem may be if it does not turn on tonight. It was working fine yesterday.

i was playing on my ipad 32gb wifi + 3g and then decided to turn it off, later i tried to turn on it but wouldnt, i have tried charging it but the power brick was cold

As with many devices that are barely a year old on the market, the kinks are still being worked out, I would recommend you make an appointment with the Apple Genius Bar, which will most likely result in a brand new replacement iPad.
