Popup keyboard needs an up and down arrow keys

I just got my iPad and I discovered right off the bat that the popup keyboard needs an up down arrow keys for scrolling. Sometimes when I'm replying to a message in a forum, I need to scroll down to the bottom of the quoted text. But as far as I know the popup keyboard doesn't have an up down arrow keys so it's difficult to scroll. So is there a way to scroll up and down other than with the missing arrow keys?

You use two fingers to scroll in a message box.

You might also want to use Apple Feedback to speak directly to Apple. If you do any serious editing at all in the iPad (as I do) the missing cursor keys become apparently quickly. I hope this is one of the things improved in iOS 4 due out sometime in the fall.

I share your hope but, unfortunately, I doubt if it will happen. Part of the problem is what keys would you replace? I suppose all the keys could be made smaller around the right shift key and maybe the rh .?123 could go.
