To keep or not

I've had my iPad for almost a week now. I'm one that has a connectivity issue. I did the "fixes" but I still lose the connection after turning it on. I just have to reconnect and it usually stays on. Here are my issues with the iPad:
1) l love the keyboard but miss the arrow keys
2) I can't organize my pics into groups as I have a pc and there's no app for the iPad. and there's no identifying info on the pics.
3) I don't really care about the inability to multitask....yet. I haven't had a need to so far.
4) I've had random screen freezes.
5) The touch screen doesn't always work the way I need it to....it will miss when I try to place the cursor.

There's a lot I love about the iPad but I'm not sure about keeping it. Thoughts?

I would also like arrow keys. Please leave feedback to Apple on the arrow keys. I did.

2) I can't organize my pics into groups as I have a pc and there's no app for the iPad. and there's no identifying info on the pics.

I was able on windows to get groups (albums) by pointing iTunes to a photo folder, and having the picture groups in subfolders with the subfolder name being the group description.

5) The touch screen doesn't always work the way I need it to....it will miss when I try to place the cursor.

When you insert the cursor by touching the screen, do you hold it long enough to get the magnifying glass? Then, when the glass appears, if you slide your finger around the screen slightly, it will move the insertion point displayed in the magnifying glass.

I took my first iPad back and the replacement seems ok, but looses and quickly regains signal.
I am keeping mine and counting on a software fix. I hope it comes soon.

I wouldn't put up with the connection issues. I'd drive right down to my Apple Store and politely request that they either provide a fix or replacement. You have a multi-hundred dollar device, and it should work perfectly. No snarkiness towards you intended, but I just don't get individuals who do not avail themselves of Apple's customer service, which for me, has been nothing but outstanding. You might get yourself a new or refurbished iPad (and refurbished means new exterior housing and perfect 100% quality control).

As for the other things:

1. Arrow keys. I see your point, but putting in there is going to reduce the size of the keyboard. I wouldn't find that an acceptable compromise. Moreover, without being privy to Steve Job's strategies, it is clear that the iPad is the future of computing. Apple popularized the mouse (I said popularized, not invented), and everyone laughed at using a mouse. Now, Apple is saying "we don't need no steenking mouse". For me, there's no difference between trying to moving my fingers to touch someplace I want to go or finding an arrow key. I doubt we'll ever see it, because it's backwards, not the future.

2. Organizing pictures. Get a Mac with iPhoto. ๐Ÿ˜‰

3. As others have said OS 4.0 is being tested with developers right now, and it will have bunches of cool stuff. Including multitasking. I'm skeptical of multitasking because it's going to kill battery life, but maybe Apple has that figured out. I'd love to listen to Pandora or SiriusXM radio while surfing the web, so I'll use it.

4. Screen freezes. I get them, but never on Safari. If on Safari, it might be some plugin that the website requires that the iPad doesn't have.

5. Practice practice practice. ๐Ÿ™‚ Seriously, you'll get used to it.

Interesting you bring this up. I was trying to figure this out as well. Do you have an iPhone? Because the subfolders show up as albums on my iPhone photo library but not on the iPad? I'm guessing this will be fixed in a software update. Remember, those of us who bought ipads are early adopters which means we have to put up with those annoying quirks inn the beginning. However, I am very happy with it thus far and I can see it's potential now that I have seen what the iPhone has done. The good thing is that the OS has been around for awhile now, so there should be less problems than with the iPhone. By the way, I am typing this on my iPad, and while not perfect, it is quite nice in exchange for the portability.

The best case is Incase convertible (leather-like). Great protection and function!!!

I'm doing that on Monday. I was hoping for a fix but I've tried them & thay're not working for me.

I get that...I just like them. I wouldn't want the keyboard smaller either.

Ha ha...I wish I could ๐Ÿ˜‰

If I wait for that I'll be out of the return window. If the fix comes out in the next few months & the new things are good, I'll either buy it again or wait till version 2 (whenever that may be)But I have to be able to stay online ๐Ÿ™‚

I think it happened on here..

I'm having one of those deja vu experiences! When the original Mac came out, the keyboard had no arrow keys! ๐Ÿ™‚

Eventually, they put them back in.

But how often does anyone actually use them? I'll wager that most people use them very infrequently if at all. It may be that what's needed is an interface tweak on the loupe so that positioning it is easier (larger viewer, greater magnification, smarter cursor, something or all three).
