Bluetooth question

You won't be able to use Bluetooth for this. The iPad bluetooth only supports bluetooth keyboards, stereo headphones and peer-to-peer gaming with compatible apps.

I just haven't had luck with Bluetooth, period. My iPad arrived yesterday and I was all psyched when I read I could use my wireless keyboard w/it instead of buying a separate keyboard dock. However, it takes FOREVER for my iPad to find the keyboard (even when they're side-by-side) and, once it does, a message comes up that says "Not Paired" so the iPad goes back to trying to detect it again. I have tried turning the keyboard off & on (which is actually harder than it seems since there are no gauges other than a green light that stays lit 7 seconds) and I have tried turning off my iMac Bluetooth connection with it. Any other suggestions?

You mean you haven't had luck with your one Bluetooth keyboard.
Not all BT keyboards work with the iPad (not even older Apple ones). What kind do you have?
