How many books you can put on the iBook Shelve?

Is there a search option in the iBooks app? When there are more ebooks than will fill one screen it would be nice search instead of have to swipe until you spot ay particular book.
Secondly, can you search across all the content in all the books? I'd love to search for a keyword and find all the books it appears in.

You guys are too much LOLYou can search your library (author, title) and you can search within an individual book, but you can't search within all the books at once.
The epubs I have, mostly novels, average half a MB, maybe less.
