iPad Note organizer app needed

iPad Note organizer app needed

We looking for an iPad app that will do the following:

1. allows us to type notes (like "Text Edit" on the desktop)
2. lets us organize those notes in a consolidated list within that same iPad app(something like the "Finder")
3. AND sync those notes to a desktop app so we can browse / editable these notes on the desktop as well as the iPad (this is optional functionality but would sure be nice).

Anything out there like that (either for the iPad or iPod Touch syncing to a Mac)?

We are currently using Marks/Space "Missing Sync's" "Notebook" desktop application in conjunction with Pocket PC PDAs (uga) to do this but we would like to ditch the PDA and just use our iPad or iPod Touch to do the job the PDA is doing now.

A good place to look is appshopper.com. You can also search the iPad apps at the iTunes Store via iTunes. I've seen several but I know nothing about them.

Evernote. Works well for me and seems to do what you are looking for. I am using the free version, but if you want something a bit more robust they do offer a premium version.

thanks. I checked it out BUT is there a product, or a way to set it so that it uses the USB sync ONLY for file transfer? not comfortable with some of my stuff making a two way Internet trip every time I update a note and having it storded out on the net somewhere. I know I can upgrade and get SSL but that's kind of expensive for the amount of files we have.

OK . . . Got it.

Just found the option "encrypting a note" (text within a note actually). I feel much better now. This feature along with SSL and a lock code on the iPad should do the trick.

This app solves all my other issues so I can FINALLY ditch my old Dell PDA running pocket PC and use Evernote on the iPad. I highly recommend this app.
