I just ordered a Kensington USB Car Charger. It is designed for the Iphone and Ipod, so I figure it will also work for the Ipad. It fits into the cigarette or 12VDC appliance plug. It has the 30pin plug on one end and the usb on the other that fits into the plug-in. Output is 5VDC, which is correct for the Ipad. $19.99 on the Kensington site, plus $9.80 shipping. Model#38058US

It's not the voltage anyone is worried about 5v is 5v. It's the amps. iPhone and touch use a lower amp rating so a charger designed for either would still charge the ipad just alot slower than the recommended wall charger.
