Cannot delete a file

I was browsing itunes for free tv show episodes and I added several to my download queue. Downloaded most of them and then the Chuck pilot episode started to download, seeing that its 1 gb I decided to remove it from my download queue.
I swipe my finger but nothings happening, I can pause the download but I cant seem to delete it.
I added other podcasts to the queue and I could delete them.
Help me out guys.
How do I delete this free tv episode from my itunes queue on the ipad.

This has been discussed before and I think the answers is that there is nothing you can do except let it download.

easy way: log onto itunes on your Computer and select search for available downloads (right click on the itunes store or purchase folder) and when it starts to download the free vids you can press delete or keep it.

on ipad you would have to go to my account, recent downloads, (search for) pending (it comes and goes) and then slide your finger from right to left ( < - - - < ) which would expose the delete button.

go to the App store and click on featured, then on the featured page you will scroll to the bottom and there will be My Account

I am shocked that 2.5 years (and many iOS releases) later that there still appears to be no way to delete something you have queued for download on the iPad/iPhone. Are they ever going to fix this?!
