Safari disappears from iPad with addition of Exchange Server email setup

After updating the iPad with the new operating system, I noticed Safari disappeared and found no solution. Apple personnel had me restore the iPad system (which wiped out all the settings and caused me to lose numerous documents). But after the restore, I had Safari...until I again set up my email through Exchange Server. I can set up Gmail and my email through MobileMe and there is no problem. But setting up my email from Exchange Server causes Safari to disappear every time. Likewise, if I delete the email from Exchange Server, Safari is suddenly available and working well.

Any solutions.

iPad, iOS 4, Operating system update from earlier this week.

Is it a business exchange server? Could the business set it up so it disables Safari? Other users have posed that setting up a business mail account caused them to lose the never screen lock time so maybe the setup can disable Safari. This is just a guess since I can't think of anything else and it seems Apple could not either. One workaround is to use an alternate browser.

Found the problem. It is a corporate server for Exchange and there is a setting that has to be changed to allow Safari to appear and function. Now that I have that fixed, I find it is also forcing me to use a passcode to get into my iPad. I suspect that this is a similar problem with a similar solution.

Thanks for the comments and the help.

I'm having the same problem. Updated to 4.2 everything is great except Safari is gone.

When I go into the General Settings, restrictions are disabled but Safari (and only safari) is turned to off.

So I added a passcode and enable restrictions, but I can't turn on safari.

If I delete the exchange account. Safari comes back. If I add it again it disappears.

I can't seem to find anything that can be tweaked on the server side of exchange or the client side of the ipad, Anyone have any ideas?

Mick you wouldn't know what the exchange setting was that needed to be changed?
