Got my sis an iPad 2 she can take to classes and now I want to get her a pen that she can write with so she doesn't have to take books and paper.

Any pens out there that write on the iPad as if you're writing on real paper?

Also, what are the best apps that would allow her to do this?:D

The best pen is the Wacom Bamboo Pen

App is good too in my opinion.

But you need to understand writing on an iPad is not the same as pen and paper.

Watch this youtube clip to see what I'm talking about.

i own that stylus and found it to be utterly useless. it has rave reviews, though, so a lot of people agree with tortri.

i highly recommend your sister take notes with pen and paper. they are easy to scan and upload to evernote. but, like i said, all of this has been discussed at length in other threads.

Can your sister type? I find when I take notes I'd rather just type it out, either on the iPad itself or bluetooth keyboard. But thats because I can type faster than I can write personally.

Lots of discussion of this topic. Excellent handwriting/note taking apps are Note Taker HD and Notes Plus. Each imposes a rather steep learning curve for a user to be even remotely as proficient as a writer with a pen and paper.

And that's because writing on an iPad is decidedly different from writing on paper. I use an iFaraday stylus most often though I've tried about eight different ones and own styluses from three manufacturers.

thank you all for the suggestions. yes I know nothing compares to a pen and paper but she wants to carry as little as possible and be earth friendly as well.

I use Noterize, works the best. Can anyone recommend the cheapest pen that works well with the iPad 2? I am looking for a stylus as well.

Don't know about what's the best stylus since I don't use one but app wise, I love notes plus.

Hey!!! I can even narrow down the search. So instead of 4 pages of results you get only 2!!!

I think point that's trying to be made is your thread title is ridiculous, and this topic has been covered extensively. There is a 2-3 page thread with reviews of all the current stylus available. Google also has many reviews and even samples of handwriting with many styluses.

Search for the thread called handwriting stylus.

And this isn't urgent. Nothing regarding any accessory is urgent.

Fwiw, I just pre ordered the Adonit Jot Pro.

i don't know why people bother to respond to the op. he's been rude to me and other members, and (as someone already mentioned), he wants you to do all of the work for him. he's not a new member. he knows the etiquette around here. he just chooses to waste your time.

I guess we all are trying to hammer home the point that...

1) Yes, the OP is Rude & Lazy

AND

2) Save yourself some grief and try searching for the answer first.

Just the doorbell rang and a friendly delivery guy brought me a

AluPen from JustMobile.

Works like a charm for me in the first 15 minutes I use it. Downloaded "Pen & Paper" too. Now start getting used to it.

UPDATE: really nice; this once is the second one I bought and works well, the other one o towed away (was something from the shelf at my local electronics mega store)
