I am having two issues.

1. My ipad just disconnects from my home Wi-fi network sometimes. It only happened twice. But, I went from my basement to first floor. What the hell? Was wi-fi issue this bad?

2. My ipad is keep asking me to type in my wi-fi password. What the hell!? This happened like 6-7 times in a day. Why? Am I doing something wrong? Or do I have a defective unit? Please be so kind to advise me on what I should do? Go see an apple Genius? I just got my ipad yesterday from apple.com.

You can try to exchange it, but right now, you can try

Turn off wifi and turn it back on again. I find that helps with the iPad wifi issue.

For the password thing- you may want to check that the Auto Join isn't turned to the "off" position for your wifi network

go to the settings
click the wifi
click the little blue circle for the settings
auto join selection is made at the top

Thank you. I am going to check that.

This has never happened to me, but check to see if you are using WAP2 security protocols. My understanding is that this helps to reduce or even eliminate the constant asking for the password.

I would also check to see if there were any firmwear updates for your router. When I last looked at mine, it was over a year old and updates were available.

Side note: Get more responses when you use a proper tiltle, "help with WiFi issues" for example.
