You may think you are connected to the internet, but maybe not. Click on Safari and see if it connects.

Look at iOS Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398

iPad: Issues connecting to Wi-Fi networks http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3304

iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4199

Additional things to try.

Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Change the channel on your wireless router. Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

If any of the above solutions work, please post back what solved your problem. It will help others with the same problem.

I am having the same problem.

My iPod connects fine, but my brand new iPad2 rarely manages a connection and if it does the signal drops quickly. (it would hold connections only until I would try to open a webvideo or website, then it'd drop)

Now it doesn't even find a connection to drop from. (it won't list networks at all udner the wifi settings)

I have tried all the suggestions above, but none work.

My iPad2 shows this indefinite cycle of "Choose a network" with a pinwheel of death that never finds my networks even though they are right there.

I have not only restarted my router, but tried three different routers and gone to two differnet homes with internet only to expeirence the same issures.

I've tried routers with different securities and non-secure to see if these were factors, they were not.

I've adjusted the brightness of myiPad. No luck there.

I've turned off the Wi-Fi feature and turned it back on. I've powered down my iPad and turned it back on. I've even turned off the WiFi, powered down, turned it on and turned bakc ont he WiFI, no luck.

Network settings and "renew" and "Release" are useless for me because my iPad2 doesn't even find a network to connect to(even though all my other devices, including my iPod does).

I'd like to mention that I am very familiar with routers, as I used to actually set-up and manage servers. My current job/profession still deals with computers. So, I am a person who has tried many possible angles to try and analyze best I can what is going on with my device.

From the moment I recieved this iPad2, I've had internet issues with it. None of the suggestions have helped. I wish Apple would admit that there is problem here.

You didn't indicate if it ever worked. If it NEVER did, the problem could be caused by a firewall in the router. For reasons that I do not understand, that will affect IOS (iPod/iPad) communication but will not affect computers or other devices.

You will need administrative access to the router. If a firewall is present, turn it off and test the iPod again. If it works, turn the firewall back on but weaken it a notch and test the iPod again. Repeat as required.

I ended up sending in my iPad to Apple for repair service. They ran the diagnostics and sent it back saying they could not find they problem. They sent it back to me with no repairs made... so the problem was still present...

My wiFi still is unstable and does not work, even though all my other devices do(some of which includes three laptops, MacPro and two iPods that work great with the wifi). The reason Apple believes it worked is because they initially get a wiFi connection, they do not wait to see if it stays.

I've dealt with tech support so much over this issue that I am ready to give up on this iPad.
