Johnathan. I have to disagree with your comments above. It is not unreasonable for Harpo14 to expect to be spoon fed. Most people expect it and companies like Apple are working toward making technology more user friendly by the day. Either companies make technology user friendly or perish and they know this. The days of having to configure technologies as discussed above are numbered. I love technology but I can not wait for the day that users do not have to configure anything and it just works out of the box, even the desired outcome discussed above. The days of having to read instructions is coming to an end but for now, yes, you are correct. Either they read the instructions or get someone else to help them which Harpo14 has done and as tech savvy people we probably should help or let someone else do it. Cheers.
If you want more control over other apps and functions on your Mac,
Another, which I use and is very comprehensive remote app, is called Rowmote Pro by a developer called Regular & Rhythm.
There is also a dedicated WifI and/or Bluetooth remote for Macs and iDevices by a company called Satechi.
Found here.
