Watching TV episodes via web sites
I know iPad doesn't have Flash capabilities, but is it able to play TV shows through web sites like hulu.com?

You answered your own question... if the site uses Flash for videos, the iPad will not play them. I believe Hulu uses Flash. As for others, just check the site.
