Edit With IOS IPhoto - Import To OSX IPhoto

Jun 7, 2012

What's the best way to do this and not compromise on quality? I've tired 'sharing' via iTunes but the pictures are downsized. I've tried 'sharing' via camera roll which works well but you can only share 1 picture at a time. Any other options?

Import New Photo Events From It To IPhoto?

Apr 7, 2012

I've recently bought the iPad Camera Connection Kit and I used it to import some photos from my camera: this process ended up creating a new event named with the date of the import (I haven't found a way to rename it so far) and an album called "Last import".

I thought that the new event would have been transferred to iPhoto '11 during the next sync with my MacBook. However I found out that's not so: I tried syncing my iPad both via wifi and USB, but the new event doesn't show up in iPhoto '11.

Info:iPad, iOS 5.1

How do I import photos from multiple iPhoto libraries from my iMac to the new iPad? I have 4 different iPhoto Libraries on my iMac.

I can import photos from iPhoto library 1, to the iPad, but when I import photos from iPhoto Library 2, created on my iMac to the iPad,

it deletes the original photos that I imported from the first iPhoto Library and replaces them with the import from library 2.

Can Import Camera RAW Files?

Mar 11, 2010

I realize iPad is able to download photos off your camera with the camera kit. But what about RAW files? I shot a lot of RAW with my dSLR, and was hoping to be able to store them on the iPad during vacations/trips when the memory card gets full. I know even 16gb should hold lots of pics at 1024 resolution, but RAW files are so huge in comparison.

The question is just how much of a hybrid it is of iPhoto, which can display RAW files.

Import Only JPG Files From Camera?

Jun 14, 2011

I have a new Ipad 2 on the way. I am going to take it on vacation with me to the Rocky Mountains in a few weeks. While I am on vacation I will be shooting a lot of photographs with my Canon 5DMKII camera. I always shoot full size RAW files (29 MB per picture). The camera has the option to shoot RAW+small JPG.

Is there an APP or a way that I can only import the small JPG files and leave the RAW files on the camera? I am concerned the Ipad 2 will choke trying to import RAW files that are 29 MB per file.

Import Video Directly From Camera

Aug 18, 2010

Here's the situation - There I am on holiday and I'm rapidly filling up my Sony Cybershot's memory stick with a mixture of pictures and video. I'd like to dump my content onto my ipad, free-up the stick for new photos and have my pictures available for email. I can move the photos to the i-pad using the camera-usb connector and a suitable card reader to accomodate a memory stick; when I try the same action on my macbook, i-photo happily accepts photos and video. On the ipad my video content seems to be ignored. Video in Hi-def is responsible for the majority of the sticks' capacity. Ultimately I could just cough-up the cash for more and larger capacity memory sticks but Is there a way to import video directly into an ipad or a suitable app that will suit my needs?

ipad, ipod touch, macbook

Camera Connection Kit Can Not Import Pictures?

Aug 19, 2010

I just received the Camera Connection kit and tried to import pictures using a 4GB SD Card and the SD Card adapter. When you plug the adapter into the iPad it displays an error that says "USB Device not supported".

Anyone else have this same experience? The instruction manual doesn't list any special formatting procedures for the SD card and I can see the pictures on it using my laptop.

Camera Attachment Says No Photos To Import?

Apr 5, 2012

I bought one of those camera attachment devices for my ipad 3, but all 7 SD cards I have from 3 different cameras can't be read - it just says No photos to download. I've pushed the slider back and forth to no effect,, I even reformatted one SD card and took some fresh photos at different resolutions - no deal! I get no better response using the USB connection direct to the camera either. The 2 compact cameras connect and the 'Photos' folder opens, but again, No photos to download. If I try connecting my Canon EOS 5D it isn't recognised at all - nothing opens at all. Is this an iPad thing or the camera attachment that is at fault?

Camera Connector Crash The IPhoto App

Oct 11, 2010

While on a trip to Disneyland last week, I attempted to download my pictures from my Canon 7D to my iPad using the Apple Camera USB connector. I had so many problems with it I just stopped. It would start to download selected images and then crash the iPhoto app. I could get maybe 5 images downloaded before it would crash. Sometimes none at all. I was connecting it straight to the camera using a USB cable.
