Safari Does Not Remember The Username Or Passwords For Sites
Aug 1, 2010
I have two iWeb password protected websites for my Daughters, however when I try to log into them from my iPad, Safari does not remember the username or passwords for either of the sites. When I log into these sites from my iMac, I have no such problems with Safari. Anyone have any ideas how to resolve this ?.
What's the trick to getting the iPad to retain sign in information? I have it turned on in safari. Been struggling with this since last Friday. It is finally keeping my Facebook sign in. I belong to Napp...and it might be retaining that one right now, but when I click on a link to open another page on that same site, it wants me to log in again(I have it set to open a new tab). It won't retain the sign in for this site nor a few of my other regular ones. I shut it off at night. I've toggled on and off.
I just got my iPad a few days ago, and let me say it is too cool! I love it already. Anyway, one minor frustration is whenever I type in my email address (as a username for certain sites, etc.) the autofill always inserts the wrong name. My email ends in comcast.net, but when I type this in, the iPad forces it to com cast.net (it puts a space between m and c. How do I fix this?
I have a problem on my iPad in Safari. I have to use my school web page a lot and it requires a password login. When I first signed in I accidentaly pressed 'no' for saving password on this page. How can I repair this now?
I use a product called "Roboform" on my PC. It's an "add-on" that stores and auto-fills all my usernames and passwords to websites that require a logon. Roboform also generates random passwords. It also stores my name, address, phone numbers, email address, credit and debit card information (identity) that allows me to instantly and completely fill out most internet order forms. I've used this product for years and I find the features are huge time savers. I have about 50 logons and my passwords are as complex as each site will allow. This is good and bad. It's bad if I need to logon to one of these sites when I'm on my iPad.
On my iPad, in Settings, Safari, I have AutoFill turned on, Use Contact Info and Names and Passwords turned on. The functionality on my iPad doesn't approach what I am used to on my PC. I'm hoping that someone has found a robust, elegant solution to managing logon information and the other functionality I've described.
PS - Roboform does have a free iPhone app, it's not bad but it won't open webpages in Safari (naturally, due to Apple's restriction) and it doesn't have the form-filling feature that is SO convenient when establishing an account and doing business on the web.
Unless I missed something, it appears that the browser doesn't offer to save user name, passwords, etc., right?I know the individual web sites can keep you logged in or remember the user name, but unless a site has that feature, user has to type the information. Am I missing something?

When I tried to login to via Safari on my iPad 2, I accidentally selected ‘No while prompted to remember password. Is there any setting on iPad 2 which enables Safari to remember password automatically?
I have set safari to remember passwords but every time I open up sites such as this one, I keep having to enter my username and password every time as it's not remembering it. My username and password should auto populate but it doesn't.

When I browse websites via Safari on my iPad 2, I am not able to access websites which need username and password. Is this some issue with Safari browser? Is there any way to sort out this issue?
IPad 3 :: Safari Not Remembering Username And Password?
May 1, 2013
Safari on our IPad3 is not remembering the username and password. Have gone into settings > safari > autofill > n&p and have it turned on. Went to a site and put in my username and password and got into the site. logged out and came back to the site and had to put in the info again. Toggled the names and passwords off and on a few times, rebooted the ipad both with the N&P on and off, deleted cookies and cleared settings a number of times. It seems like a setting is missing. What else to try?
Webpages In Safari Won't Acknowledge My Usernames And Passwords
May 30, 2012
I have the iPad 2, iOS 5.1.1 When I go to various web pages, using Safari, that require my username and password, and I enter them correctly, and hit submit or enter, the page takes me back to the sign-in page, again and again and again and... This occurs on all web pages that require usernames and passwords, which I have tried about 6 different sites. On my settings for Safari, the Remember names and passwords is on.
I recently got a new iPad and have been saving passwords for some of the websites that I visit. Recently I visited website, but instead of clicking the yes save this password for this website button, I accidentally clicked the never for this website button. How do I turn on autosaving the password for that website now that I have hippie never same for this website button?
IPad :: Safari Will Not Keep Logged Into Websites That Require Username / Password
Jun 19, 2014
When I use my iPad Safari will not keep me logged in to websites that require a username/password. I have to log in every time I use Facebook, Pinterest, etc. For example, I can be browsing Pinterest for a few minutes, go to the home screen or another app, then return to pinterest and it will require me to login again. I usually login via Facebook, and it forget that login info too. It's as if Safari forgets my username/password every time I stop using it, even if it's just for a few minutes. This does not happen when I use my iPhone, and it is synced to my iPad. How can I fix this?
Fully Sync Usernames/passwords & Bookmarkes Between Mac Firefox & Safari?
Mar 4, 2011
I've been considering getting an iPad, and the new iPad looks really awesome. The one thing that I am very concerned about, however, is fitting the iPad's browser into my already-existing ecosystem. That is to say, I use Firefox on my Mac and have hundreds of website passwords saved in its password store. I don't even remember my passwords half the time for the various sites that I use. How can I sync the usernames/passwords between the two devices? I'd also like to be able to sync my bookmarks if possible. I use Firefox Sync to keep my various computers in sync, but of course this will not work with the iPad.
