Is anybody else experiencing the loss of the Facebook chat popup/online notification window (you the little window down in the bottom right corner of the page) on their iPad? Information : IPad iPhone OS 3.0.
View 3 RepliesNot sure if anyone knows about this, so I decided to share with everyone. To access Facebook Chat, login to your account, then type this in your address bar - http://www.facebook.com/presence/popout.php. It looks pretty nice and let's you talk with multiple people easily.
View 9 Repliesmy friend forgot the passcode of his new ipad mini immediately after the initial configuration and never synced with itunes. now ipad is inactive asking to connect with itunes. after following all proper steps URL.... to connect with itunes, The following happens.
1. iTunes opens with the pop up window "The software of the ipad needs to restored to factory settings or updated". I clicked Restore.
2. next step asks me to press "Restore and Update". I clicked that.
3. It contacts ipad software update server.
4. Server asks to agree with terms and conditions. ok done that.
5. download of 1.94GB of ipad update starts.
6.But 15 mins after connecting to itunes, ipad exits from the recovery mode by itself.
7. After the download of 1.94GB is completed, when i tried to connect ipad in recovery mode again to restore and update, steps from 1-6 happens again.

My iPad mini won't let me do anything, as there is a pop up window asking for my iCloud password. I have even reset my password with my Mac. It won't accept any password. The window just keeps popping back up.

View 1 RepliesI have an iOS7 iPad4 and use Facebook to catchup with engineer friends who tend to post links out to a YouTube video. There has never been any problem but in the last 4 days all linking to a YouTube through Facebook 100% ensures NO SOUND as the video plays down. I've checked Settings for Facebook, YouTube, ( I have the YouTube App) and have deleted the Facebook App twice and reinstalled it, cold booted my iPad 3 times but still silence... I have even made certain my volume is turned up when on Facebook...
It's the same if the YouTube clip is linked to another site that has a YouTube imbedded or if the clip is directly off YouTube. I've asked my engineer friends on Facebook, however if they upload a clip directly onto Facebook it plays with sound ok. Likewise if the clip is on Vimeo or Wimp, there's always audio... It's as if a present Facebook App Update has become borked or something or is there some Politics going?
To view the YouTube clip link to Facebook I have to now open the YouTube App, search for it and it will always play audio with video fine that way.
Seems the link to instant chat with an Apple sales rep has gone away. Not sure if that ends at a certain time or there were too many requests or what but worth noting maybe?

View 2 RepliesSo I loaded up facebook.com the first couple nights w/ my iPad, and everything was perfect. I was wondering whether or not the chat functionality of the site would load properly, and happily for me it did. I was able to chat on facebook.com the same way I do on my Firefox browser on the desktop PC.
But, the last couple of days I've tried it, the chat functionality does not show up on the screen at all. Where did it go? Why would it work the first few days, but then not at all after that? And I'm not using the app (yet) because 1) There is no proper iPad facebook app yet, and 2) if I do it through the browser, I can still browse around the web in another window and switch back and forth. I'm just trying to figure out why it was there in the beginning, but gone now.
I have an IPAD but when I login to Facebook - There's no Facebook chat.. =( Can anyone help me what to do so I can use the CHAT? or it does not really have a FB chat?
