when replying to an email,I receive this message.It is a POP3 account.I've experienced this in the iPod touch and reset the touch,it worked.Tried the same in the iPad, no luck.I've checked and rechecked that the smtp address is correct.I can receive but not send.

Cannot Send Mail The sender address was invalid OK

I can't send email with my cox.net email account on my iPad. I have SMTP set up as smtp.east.cox.net, but it says the sender address is invalid. I have the same problem with my iPhone 3GS, but I can use the AT&T smtp server cwmx.com to send mail. Anyone have a fix for this? Whenever I try to send emails when connected to 3G I get the above message and it sits in the outbox. It all works fine when connected to wifi. I've tried re entering the account details and turning the iPad off and on again but still no luck!It seemed strange to me that it only happens when connected to orange 3G.

I have both iPhone and iPad that will not send emails when I am connected via wifi. Have tried three wifi networks. I get a message that says the sender address (my address) was rejected by the server.

I am using a the Mac mail for comcast account and a few times it has refused to send, saying invalid address. even though it is reply and the address is fine.
Come to think of it, I am not sure any emails have gone out with that account? My business account works fine.
Would like to find out if it's possible to Block an email address as I have been receiving slot of crap, on my pc these get blocked through rules, is the a way to set rules on an iPad
View 2 RepliesI have one mail server that for outgoing email only supports SSL. There is no plain SMTP server available. But the certificate used on the SSL server is invalid: it was issued for another server name In Outlook I get a warning each time I try to send mail, but I can continue.On my iPad however, I can't get this SMTP over SSL to work I get the message 'certificate invalid', and when I click 'Proceed', it's waiting and waiting without anything else happening. Is there a limitation in the Mail app on the iPad that it completely refuses connections with invalid certificates? Is there a workaround?

View 6 RepliesI know that all the settings are correct as this email address works flawlessly on my Windows desktop and, as I say, the pad does receive mail. The message that I get is that the recipients address is rejected by the server. I have spent a long time on the phone to 1and1 with which company all our domains are registered and they cannot resolve the issue so short of ditching this iPad for something else.

When I open up ipad mail to send a new email, and type in the first few letters of a name, it brings up a picklist and I can see the same name twice. One has the name in bold letters but the other identical name has no letters in bold. The one with bold lettering is the correct email address but the other one does not work. I cannot see any way of deleting this rogue address.

View 1 RepliesI have a big problem with both Apple Mail on my Mac Mini and on my iPad: E-mails from my employer don't show up until the message gets resent to me two or three times.It was only after I went to the website and retrieved the mails there that the messages suddenly showed up on my Apple Mail inboxes on both iPad and Mac Mini. What the heck would cause that? Would the attachments (a .pdf file and a docx file) cause that to happen?I haven't changed my spam filters since Autumn 2013, and did not have any problems before with receiving mail from that sender (my employer).
My iPad has the current iOS 7.1.1 and my Mini has OS X 10.7.5.
