View 1 RepliesI really like Airplay; however, I don't need the Apple TV. So could I connect the PS3 to the Airport Express and then stream music / movies to my PS3; which, will, in turn, display on the TV?
View 9 RepliesSince I have Airfoil, no problem before and now, with OS X 10.6.5 and last ios 4.2. I can hear music everywhere with my 4 airport express (bathroom, bedroom, kitchen and lounge).Since I have Airplay, there is a big problem : if I play iTunes and choose a room like kitchen or lounge, I have music for 5 to 10 seconds, then nothing for 10 seconds, then the light is blinking orange. The same if I play from iPad or iPod touch whit airplay. But, if I play with airfoil (choosing any application like iTunes or Safari or others), I have no problem choosing kitchen or bedroom or lounge or bathroom or all of them.ios 4.2 iPad
View 5 RepliesAirPlay on my iPad 2 works fine with only one set of Airport Express connected at the end of speakers. What should I do to make it work with multiple set of Airport Express?
View 5 RepliesNew to the forums here so thanks for any help in advance. Airplay is working great on my iphone and ipad but to only one set of airport express at a time. My living room is a very long room, about 80 feet so I have an airport express at each end with speakers. On itunes on the phone I can play one set or with ipod on ipad I can also play one set of speakers but not both like on my computer. There is no multiple speaker option. I thought airplay could control multiple AE? Is this not an available feature yet? Both my AE have the latest firmware updates. Thanks again. iOS 4
View 5 RepliesI have updated everything. I have an Airport Express and an iPad with the newest iOS. I have music on my iPad which i tried to stream via AirPlay but no sound comes out. I have also tried to stream music from Pandora, YouTube and Safari, and I get no sound. But I can stream perfectly fine on my MacBook iTunes using AirPlay. Tried reset, restore, everything...what's going on here? 4GB RAM
View 2 RepliesHi, since I have difficulties to include my Airport Express in my Fritzbox router wifi network, I would like to stream music from my iPad and iTunes directly to the AE and speakers. Anyone knows if this is possible? The AE now has its own network.
View 20 RepliesSo 2 main things are on my mind:
1. Printing
2. Streaming Sound
1. With printing, i've never been able to "wirelessly" print using my airport express considering my Dell 1110 Laser Printer isn't compatible with the Airport Express. At least, when I purchased it 2 years ago there was no applicable driver to allow me to connect my laser printer to my AE and do wireless printing from my MBP.
Obviously I'll keep trying to dig online to see if any updates has come around...but am wondering if I was able to come across such a driver, obviously i'd be able to wirelessly print from my MBP, but what about the iPad? Would the new iOS support this?
2. I've always been able to stream iTunes from my MBP to the speakers connected to my AE...will the new iOS allow me to watch a movie on my iPad and stream the sound to my speakers connected to AE? Any idea about say, streaming a Netflix movie and streaming the sound to the speakers connected to the AE?
1 Revisited: What about if my printer was on, connected to my MBP. Could then the iPad allow me to print wirelessly?
I thnk my little airport express will become more useful with the ipad. But I still need to configure it with a mac. I think we should get a aiport config tool on the ipad. That way we can just grab the ipad and AE.
View 20 RepliesI use Virgin as my ISP and have airport express connected to virgin's modem. I have no problems with WiFi for PC, Macbook and iphone. I am worried about what I have heard about ipad WiFi. Does anyone else have experience with ai ipad and a similar set-up?

I'm going out of town later in the week. I have an airport express, and where I will be staying has broadband, but not a wireless router, only wired ethernet.
What I would like to do is take my airport express, just plug in their ethernet cable, and use it for my ipad so i don't need to take my 7lb. work laptop.
Is this possible, or would I need my laptop to setup the express? Can I do it from the ipad?
Can the Ipad see the Airport express that is attached to my stereo so that I can play ipad music on my home stereo?

Wanting to use airport express as my wifi whilst traveling & staying in hotels that only have broadband access. How do i go about setting this up? is it done when you get there or do you do it from home from your main apple mac computer? I do not take a laptop with me.

I've practically given up on this, as it has been incredibly frustrating.I originally purchased an Airport Express for AirTunes and Airfoil usage. I had the AE connected to my stereo amp, and iTunes on my uMacbook would play back music to the amp perfectly. However with this existing setup, and the newly released iOS4.2 for iPad I am having utterly no luck with Airplay. It's been frustrating owning an AE as it is a troublesome device at best, especially since I have to keep resetting the thing just so the Airport Utility app can 'see it'.My iPad has the Airplay icon, the AE is setup for Airtunes with no password. iTunes on my uMacbook can see the AE and stream music to it. However the iPad just doesn't happen.

View 3 RepliesIs it possible (with any software) to stream music from an iPad's music library straight to an Airport Express with Airtunes enabled? It must actually stream the music, not remote-control a computer's iTunes library (so don't say to use Remote as a solution). The Remote app is too unreliable. It's okay if a computer is involved, but it cannot be remote control.
View 4 RepliesI am trying to help a friend here who wants to stream audio from his iPad to an Airport Express so he can play it through his stereo.Specifically he wants to stream Pandora. From what I have seen it can't be done at this time. He says he has heard of other people that were able to set it up
View 1 RepliesI have 2 x printers attached via USB hub to my airport express which is part of my wireless network. When looking for printers using airprint on both my iPad and iPhone, neither can find a printer. Anyone else having this problem? I was under the impression that airprint should work with printers connected to airport express Mac OS X (10.5.2)
View 44 RepliesI had low wireless signal on my patio. I have a Timecapsule as my base station. I purchased an Airport Express today to extend the range of my network. It's all set up and working for my MB Pro. However, on my patio the signal is still nil on the iPad. If I move the iPad next to the AirPort Express the signal strength does not change. I tried restarting the iPad and this did not help. All my firmware/software is up to date. Any suggestions?
