View 3 RepliesAfter an afternoon exploring every possibility that came to mind I hit on the idea of buying a plate stand for the iPad. I'm using it now. It lifts the device about four centimeters above the table, will not topple backwards or in any other direction, looks pretty cool and cost exactly 1 euro. I bought a medium sized one, plastic, in black.
View 15 RepliesI've had a look in the app store and done a search here, but can't seem to find an app for a PDF writer. At the moment, when I receive mail attachments as Word docs, I need to open them in Pages, then email them back to myself as a PDF, to then open from my mail account again in order to view and annotate them in Note Taker. It all seems a bit long winded. Am I missing something obvious, and there is a better way to do this by way of an app or other method?
View 2 RepliesTwo questions: Is there a manual for using IA Writer? How do I cut & paste from an email into an IA document page? I'm a PC person so wondering if I should've bought the iPad, since i'm having trouble. Is there an app equivalent of MS Word for the iPad?
View 1 RepliesI did a search but didn't come up with many results.Does anyone have a recommendation or experience with a PDF writer for the iPad 2?
View 5 RepliesI'm looking for an enthusiastic iPad developer.
Main objective is to explore and create exiting and innovative childrens-books for the iPad. Best,
The writing program I use on my MacBook is a little gem called Scrivener. I'm not here to push Scrivener, but if you are a writer, use a Mac, and want to be pampered and treated like a Pulitzer winner, then you need to check it out. The recent revamp to version 2.0.1 makes syncing to your iPad a joy.I knew I would use my iPad to read (not a good eBook reader, my tookus!), but I was concerned about writing with it because syncing Notebooks out to other programs on other platforms was daunting to me.Daunted, no more!! I was playing the with the new Scrivener and worked out the sync with Notebooks on my iPad and also on my iPod Touch.

View 7 RepliesI would like to know about the significance of Book Writer iPad app. What types of books can be created with this app?
View 14 RepliesI just started using iA Writer for iPad and I found that the only way to sync for iCloud and Dropbox is to add the text file separately. Is there any option by which I can add any file that I create to both iCloud and Dropbox automatically.
View 1 RepliesSupport site for adonit just announced April 11 as the shipping date for their tweaked writer plus keyboard case for the new iPad. They are adjusting the magnet and perhaps a fit issue.
View 2 RepliesAnyone have more info on these keyboards making it on the iPad? Seem like the larger keys spaced apart rather nicely on the iPad would be perfect for one handed operation.
View 6 RepliesI am facing issues with the iPad 2 Writer app like the document appears to be blank once saved. How can I fix this issue?
View 1 RepliesI'm wondering if either folds 360 deg. open so the keyboard flips all the way around, enabling you to use the IPad as a tablet.
View 3 RepliesI want a black background for writing in my iPad. I have already downloaded and installed Writer for iPad app on to my iPad device. How this can be done?

View 2 RepliesMy iPad have never worked, 5-10 min after I started it it is typing by itself. Like a self playing piano. This video illustrates the problem http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkP0dfw598k&feature=related
So, do I have to return it or can it be fixed somehow?

Can anyone please tell me how to display the file with the app name and extension that have already been created in Writer app on my iPad device? I am using iWork in my iPad.
View 2 RepliesI was thinking of quite a few custom uses for this device, but I would like to know if you can stand up and use it, comfortably. (LOL, there's the rub. What's 'comfortable' to one might not be to another. Every time they used the device at the presentation yesterday, they made a point to go over and sit in the chair or have it sitting on a podium for demos. A device similar to this, with a custom inventory app would be almost perfect for some implementations I can think of.Prime example. We looked into tracking our Artwork inventory at our company (we have thousands of pieces of artwork that we keep track of in an inventory system.) with either barcodes or RFID on the art. The windows mobile based handheld units and Symbol stuff just sucked in terms of customization and was rediculously priced. If this device could be carried around in any sort of manner, we might really have something here.I need to get one in my hands to see what it feels like and how it feels being carried around.I am thinking that the dev community will definitely find some uses for this thing that will make it a BETTER solution than a smartphone or a laptop.
View 20 RepliesI need some type of stand. Preferably not flimsy. Something that'll hold it landscape/portrait at an angle and allow charging. I'd rather it not fall over if I use the touchscreen. I have seen a few here over the last few weeks but cannot find. regardless, if you are using a stand and you really like it, chime in.
