Never used the AirPort Express, so...

Nov 15, 2010

iPad 64 3G/Wifi Looses secure wifi network credentials periodically. I retype in the 26 character key and I get back on. This is very unnerving and sometimes leaves my family stranded without a connection. Is this going to be a permanent flaw of the iPad?

The wifi or 3G indicators do appear but then when I launch safari, no connexion is madfe and the following error message appear : "No cellular data .." What can I do?

No Wifi - Tap On My Network Name

May 3, 2010

My employer also provides wi-fi login via a portal on the web. I purchased my iPad yesterday and was able to connect with no problems, even if only for a few minutes. Today, I almost lost it... Trying to get this thing to work all day. Needless to say, it was a very unproductive day.I read many posts on this forum and have to say that I feel your pain... Or should I say, I felt it, as I too was locked out of my networkAll day, I have been attempting to connect via the "Apple recommended method": Settings > Wi-Fi > tap on my network name on "Choose a Network" > etc > etc I tried everything, and nothing worked.Until about 10 minutes ago, when I wondered what would happen if I simply pointed the browser to a web page. Somewhere accessible (given the right circumstances). I used www.google.com (but it could have been www.salesforce.com... or whatever!).

Not Working On 802.1X WiFi Network

Jun 23, 2010

My University uses an 802.1X authentication protocol to connect to our wireless network, and for some reason it doesn't seem to work on my iPad. To connect I use the same configuration profile that I use on my iPhone (where it works perfectly).I find it extremely odd that it works on the iPhone and not the iPad. This is making my iPad almost unusable at school, which kinda *** I guess that's what you get for being an early adoptBtw: wel also have an "open" network where you connect and then the login screen pops up (which is where you then input your student login info, and it then goes away) however my iPad always hangs when submitting this information (this doesn't happen on my iPhone).

Upgrading To 3G - Having WIFI Network

Love my wifi, but I may want 3G. Yes, I could have waited, but honestly, even if I waited I likely would have gotten wifi. It was only after using the iPad so much that made me even think about 3G.That said, is Apple letting people pay the difference? Is anyone selling their wifi to get a 3G?
