Apr 14, 2010Where are my backup files stored on my computer. I use my notepad alot and can't loose that info is something goes wrong with my ipad.

Won't View Pdf Files / Can View In Pages But Can't Save
Oct 2, 2010I'm testing out how the email attachment works on the ipad. if i send a pdf file created from a grpahics program or a jpg file as an attachment to my ipad, it comes through as being part of the email body and not as a separate attachment. If i send a text document that was exported as a pdf from word, it comes through as an attachment and i can view it in pages. Does anyone know why this happens? If it is what it is, can i save the image or pdf file to pages?

Jun 17, 2013I am using Office HD to update former xlsx or Word files. I downloaded legacy files from PC laptop to Dropbox. I also have File Manager but not sure I need that; seems redundant. I want to save and backup files via dropbox or icloud. When I create or update a file in Office it saves to folders in Office. I do not see how to save or move the updated file to Dropbox or File Mgr.
I do not want to keep moving them from one folder structure to use, and another structure to backup.

Sep 14, 2011Is there any way/app to view files on the iPad from a PC without actually copying them to the iPad. This would be from a Windows machine.
For example... Let's say you had a bunch of large pdf files, or in my case cbz files for a comic book, that you wanted to view on your iPad. Yet you don;t have a whole lot of space on your iPad... Would there be anyway to view these files without actually copying them to the iPad itself and taking up space?

Feb 22, 2012I have recently upgraded my iPad 1 to OS 5.0.1. I have a PC running Vista where iTunes is installed. In the process I took a back up before proceeding. The upgrade proved problematic but I got thorugh it after several attempts however I use an App called iThoughts (mindmapping tool) a lot for work and all of the files are now gone. I have looked on the iThoughts website which gives instructions on how to extract the specific mindmap files if you can locate the backup file on iTunes. However, I don't appear to have the standard folder structure as indicated on many websites i.e. Users(username)AppDataRoamingApple ComputerMobileSyncBackup On mine it is Users(username)Roaming and that's it! So where could my backup file be? I have tried to find the file extension online so I can do a seach on the hard drive but can't seem to find that information either.. locate the backup file so I can get my iThoughts files back?

Dec 15, 2011about to update operating system on my Ipad2 and first backed up on a friends Mac. Completed the back-up and finally found where back up was on Mac - Files user/ library / application support/mobile sync/back up.The back up files names are (to me) a meaningless jumble of letters and numbers. All termed 'documents'. I hoped that I was backing up photos and Applications etc. I tried, but failed, to open any of the backup files to check the photos etc are saved on Mac. how to view/ open these backed up files?
