View 1 RepliesIs there any way to store more than the ICloud Storage Limit on an Ipad? for instance I want to transfer a bunch of files onto my Ipad using IFile, but it stops at 5 GB.
View 6 RepliesSo my ipad is saying that my icloud storage is almost full and it is preventing me from doing a lot of things.
I go to settings > icloud > storage and backup > manage storage
It says my ipad is using 63.2MB and Mail is using 113.8MB - this obviously does not add up to 5GB, yet my storage is saying I have used 4.8GB of 5GB on icloud.
I have tried deleting the back ups and even turning off back up to icloud. Then I turned the icloud back up on again and did a fresh back up and the result was still 4.8GB of usage wit the above statistics for ipad and Mail.
I am so confused. I am obviously not using 5GB of storage and don't want to purchase anymore

Can anyone explain the methods to enable iCloud Backups and the process to buy more iCloud storage in iPad?

View 8 RepliesAfter having some problems with my previous ipad 3, I had it replaced and tried restoring everything from iCloud. Everything went seemingly well until a pop-up appeared saying "Some items could not be restored." Everything seems to be accounted for except for the camera roll which looks to be about ~50MB or less.
The backup for my ipad is 260MB while only giving me ~210MB after iCloud is "finished" restoring. I have tried troubleshooting it by restoring my ipad and then using different backup versions of the ipad on two different networks (school and home) with no results. Unfortunately I never started photostream or even thought of backing it up manually through my itunes.
(I used my ipad straight out of the box when I got it ) The "explanation/resolution" that apple gives me is "Some data such as Camera Roll photos, videos, and app data was not successfully restored from the backup. Wait a few minutes and then attempt the restore again while connected to a reliable Wi-Fi network," which is clearly not working.

So i've had my new ipad since it came out and have turned on the function to back up my pics and videos to icloud. So, it's full now and I know I can dump them directly on my macbook but I'm wondering if there is a way to use my 2tb time capsule in lieue of icloud to back up files since, obviously, 5gb doesn't last as long as I thought it would.

In settings>iCloud>storage & backup>manage storage>backups my name is very wrong. I have three devices (iPod 4g, iPad 1, New iPad) and my name should be Jen's iPod, iPad etc... but it is Jens iPad etc... for each device. I don't share my acount with anyone and it was fine until I got the new iPad and synced it to the cloud. How do I change this back to what it should be?

After buying the new iPad I'd like to take advantage of the iCloud features with my iPhone. I wondered if it's possible for Apple or app developers to look at my data in iCloud? or do I literally have 5gb encrypted space assigned to my account at Apples data centers?

This iPad cannot be backed up because there is not enough iCloud storage available. You can manage your storage in Settings.
When I select settings, nothing happens. When I select close, nothing happens. So I held down the power button and got the screen that asks me to slide to power off but it does not recognize when I slide.
Not sure what else I can do...but need to get into settings to lower the memory usage.
Any good app to store a list of collected items? For instance: a list of books where you could enter Title - Author - and a field for entering some notes about each title? An ideal app would allow you to select how many Fields you wanted and to name them. This way you could also set up an address book: Name - Address - Phone - etc.

View 4 RepliesI have an iPad 2 with the least amount of storage. I don't remember how much. I never expected to get videos on it, but I'm loving having videos for my kids and I would like my favorite miniseries to be on there (I already bought it byut it won't fit) Pride & Prejudice A&E version. Anyway, there's so little room I can't even buy a new app. I thought I remembered people saying there were apps or a way that you could stream your movies from The Cloud. Can I? Can I upgrade to more storage by just paying the difference? What are my options?
