I am a potential ipad buyer and was curious if / how you can upload your itunes library to your ipad? obviously I wont be using this as my main computer and my music is one thing i would like to have transfered from my macbook to my ipad.
View 2 RepliesI am unable to remote my iTunes library from my iPad. My laptop is a windows base system. It has Win7 and my iTune's library is sharing.On my iPad, once the Remote app is launched, it does show and icon for my library on my lap top but when I click on it, I always receive the message that can't connect to library. I have turned off my firewall (at my computer), I opened the ports for TCP & UDP on my router as specified on the help/support page but no dice.

I am curious as to the best way to do so Between my wife and I, we share a MacBook and an iMac, each with our own user accounts on each computer. We share an iTunes library and an iPhoto library. We each have an iPhone, our own contacts, email accounts, etc. We each have our own mobileme account. I understand that the iPad does not have the option of 2 user accounts, which would be ideal, so absent of that, what is the best way to set it up to facilitate our sharing it?

View 4 RepliesI recently had to re-install Windows 7 64-bit on my computer that I use to sync my iPad 1 with due to some slowness and instability.I started out by doing a complete iTunes backup that spanned 3 DVD's.After re-installing Windows, I downloaded and installed iTunes from the internet. I then inserted each DVD, one by one, and let iTunes take over, and said YES when it asked if I wanted to restore from the backup.Now, when I plugged my iPad in for the first tiime, it told me that it was synced to another iTunes library, so, I selected "Transfer Purchases" because I had read that was the proper choice in this case. Now, however, everytime I plug in, it keeps telling me that the iPad is still syned with another library and only gives me the choice to Erase and Sync or Cancel.
I was under the impression that doing the backup to disc and then restore from disc was going to prevent this from happening. Did I do something wrong? I am jailbroke on 4.3.3, and do not want to lose my jailbreak.
After doing the update my iTunes popped up the message " this iPad is synced with another iTunes library. Do you want to erase this iPad and sync this iTunes library." The weird thing is that there are 30 songs in the library that aren't mine. Mine were all lost. I used a different computer to sync my pad the first time and now the motherboard gave out so I have a new computer that I loaded another iTunes. It has same login etc as my first one. Any suggestions as to how I should answer the ? I can't seem to find the right place to pose this question to. No email address or phone #to call.

I used ThinkPad as iTunes library to sync with iPad, but the HD space is small, so that I want to change iTunes library from ThinkPad to Mac mini.
What can I do? I don't want to erase all in iPad, but I want to Mac mini can sync with iPad.
After some initial problems (separate thread) I got iTunes running on my Win XP PC and specified My Music as the source for its music library. I had also set it to convert my WMAs. However, I hadn't anticipated the size of the task to convert these 4,200 files. At the rate it was going it would take most of the day so after 2 hours I closed that process. I thought it would then finish by placing all my 3,000 or so MP3s in the library. But there's not a single MP3 in it. -- Terry, East Grinstead, UK
