Unable To Use Internet/Safari Could Not Open The Page Because The Server Stopped Responding
Oct 27, 2010
I'm new to the iPad. 2 problems I'm consistently encountering, and, it may have to do with being overseas? I am in a WiFi access area but get these 2 messages quite a bit, unlike at home. . "Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding" (this seems to happen whenever
I try to open a link or attachment)
2. "No subject" in my inbox list. (Is there really a Message? Why bother to send an 'empty' email?)
Last two days my iPad has been Suh-LOOOOO to connect, if at all. Both at home and at work. This morning I tried to connect to about 6 sites and never made it. I'm talking Google, MSN, YouTube, my firm's portal. Really frustrating! I get "Safari can't open because server has stopped responding." Who's server? I have 3G 16G but am only using Wi-Fi at the moment. At home I ended up standing right next to the router and things still wouldn't connect even though my WiFi icon showed max bars. Also, when I finally do get into a site, like Amazon, and move from one page to another, it's very slow; seems to take forever for pages even to re-load. I even made sure I only had 2 pages open in the browser thinking maybe my memory was struggling. I also turned off the location finder. What am I missing? I wanted to use the iPad for a lot of things but this halt in functionality is putting a serious crimp in my plans!
On Ipad2 Safari is not connecting to server.  Tried to reboot ipad and it still does not go.  The actual message is Safari could not open page because the server stopped responding. Other than doing a total reset and losing everything, what can be done?
Internet access recently "blocked" using Safari on my Apple iPAD Mini. Screen message says Safari cannot load the page because the server not connected.
iOS 6.0.2 ? .  The process starts to load but after a period of about 1 to 2mins. the above screen msg appears. Could this be to do with the Settings on my iPAD Mini ? Before this problem occurred it worked to my satisfaction. My iPAD is just over 1year old.
When trying to open Safari on my ipad, it dosn't work and I get the message" cannot open page...because server stopped responding", but facebook works. My imac, Ipod work though. I tried to reboot by pressing the on/off and home button at the same time but that hasn't worked. I tried to erase the cookies and data and that didn't work.
We have an iPad 2 of which is working very well. When I am away in either Spain or Barbados or at my home in Epping I get no problem with Safari responding, but when I am at work I connect into my works WiFi system where I can pick up my company e-mails. The issue that I have is Safari sometimes does not respond and gives the message "Safari could not open the required site as the server is not responding" WiFi signal is no issue. What I have to do is turn off the iPad the re-turn on again and it works. It is an operating system problem or could it just be the area I am in.
I am using my iPad 2 64 gb with verizon 3g. For some reason it will no longer commnicate using 3G. It has 4-5 bars and shows 3G at the top, but all aps either time out, or I get the message from Safari that it coul dnot connect because the server is not responding. I have tried resetting the system already
For the past few days my iPAD has struggled to connect to the internet. it comes up with the follwing message- Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding. all my laptops work fine via wi fi so i know the internet is working fine and the provider has confirmed that to me. †I have deleted the wifi from my ipad and re-connected inserted password and stll the same message. †
I'm not able to connect to the internet with the iPad I bought today. I can connect to my wireless network at home, but when I try to browse safari gives an error "Safari cannot open the page because it is not connected to the internet". I've not inserted my 3G sim card yet, becasue I don't want to activate it until I'm sure my iPad works.I've tried:Verifying that other devices can access the internet via my wireless network: they can.Resetting the network connections on the iPad
Renewing the lease for the wireless connection on the iPadTurning the iPad off and on again.
I've just gotten myself an iPad 64GB Wifi. I can connect to my wifi connection at home and at work but I still get this message: "Cannot Open Page: Safari cannot open the page because it is not connected to the Internet".My iPhone 3G and computer can connect to these networks just fine. I've tried all the fixes that Apple suggests including changing to a B or G network only, changing the encryption, changing the SSID, updating to the latest router firmware, resetting the network settings on the iPad.
I've†been having alot of trouble lately with my ipad and receiving the following error message from Safari "Safari cannot open the page because it is not connected to the internet." The is quite bothersome and would like to know how to resolve this problem. It only started during the lst coulple of dayfs. Prior to this, my ipad was functiontioning beautifully and i didn't experience any problems. †
When I tap on the Internet icon, I am presented with a page that I was looking at on my desktop computer, but when I type in a new address, I am presented with a message saying "Cannot Open Page. Safari cannot open the page because it is not connected to the Internet."
I've got a weird Safari issue. Most of the time, every website works fine, however, there is a particular website that has been causing issues. I can has cheesburger. Its my wife's favorite site. Anyways, after viewing about 3 or 4 pages of the site, Safari stops responding and refuses to load.
I thought it may be a wifi issue that everyone talks about, but I'm not sure.
This is what I've tried: - 2 separate iPads - 2 separate modem/routers by different brands - Turning brightness up and auto brightness off - DHCP and static IP addresses - renewing the lease - Changing the channel for the wireless - When I ping the IP address of the iPad it uses responds (with varying speeds from 32ms to 150ms) - When I check the router's attached devices, the iPads come and go. I think this is related to my issue.
Any ideas...I can't think of anything else to try. Its gotta be a network issue, but I don't know what to do.
I have been following this forum about wifi disconnecting. I get a popup stating " safari cannot open the page because the server stopped responding". The iPad shows four bars and that I am connected.I recognize this as a problem similar to others in this forum, but they don't mention the error message that I explained above.I have tried all the "fixes" with no results.I am using a Belkin wireless N+ router Information :iPad iOS 4
I have the iPad 3and am getting a lot of loss of Internet and not being able to access email message saying server not responding.went into my o2shop and advised to turn of wireless router and start afresh with details and password which I di. Seemed ok for a few hours then stops and starts again. It seem to be forever rebooting ......
Error message: Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding. What I have tried. Restart, reset ip (valid on our domain), clearing cache, etc, brightness, auto brightness off.School network with Netgear AP's. AP's are WPA secured. I am able to connect to the AP. My iPhone 4 connects to same AP fine, as does touches.I have 30 iPads, none will connect. Information :iPad Other OS.
Not to point a finger at this ios update.when I updated my well functioning Ipad which is 3G+Wifi around. However, I noticed my Ipads WIFI is not connecting properly to my router. Rather my Ipad WIFI appears as though it is connected, showing me the bars etc and that there is a strong connectivity, however when I log into safari it does not load and instead says, " Safari cannot open the page because its not connected to the Internet". Several times I have turned on/off airplane mode, turned my wifi on and off, reset my network settings and still nothing. 3G still works but I use a ton of MBs at work so I can not afford to solely rely on that at home.

Interesting thing occurring on my iPad. If I open a new tab in safari or open a link on a page, it goes to the wanted page. But then switches to a graphic saying something about "someone doesn't like you, and you f**ked up" it then goes to a website, either a phone tracking website or something called [URL] This doesn't just happen on one website I visit, it occurs on numerous websites.
