Unable To Share Internet Connection - Waiting For Connection?

I have a mobile broadband connection (Verizon) on my notebook. I am running Windows 7 Premium (32bit). I would like to connect to the internet using the broadband card and then use the wifi connection in the notebook to create a hotspot so I can connect with my iPad and share the broadband connection.
I have set up the adhoc connection and I can get the iPad to see the connection. (having some problems with the password) but on the Windows side, it just says waiting for connection.I know this can be done. It must be some security setting some place.Any ideas greatly appreciated

IPad Mini :: AirPlay Not Working Using MacBook To Share Internet Connection

I am currently using my iPad mini and an Apple TV connected to a projector in my classroom. I used to have a small USB powered wireless access point connected to the school's wired connection, but the head IT guys downtown said its not allowed. Now I'm using my MacBook to share the wired connection wirelessly to both the Apple TV and the iPad. I can browse without any issues on both devices using this method, but I can't mirror my iPad mini's display onto the Apple TV anymore. The AirPlay icon shows up on the iPad, but when I click on it, it doesn't work. Is there any way to get AirPlay mirroring to work using my MacBook to share the internet connection?

Wifi Internet Connection Using Camera Connection Kit + 3G USB Modem

I have a jailbroken iPad wifi (non 3G) and I've recently bought the camera connection kit which has a USB port (which supposedly detects/connects to even non-camera devices like USB keyboards, USB flash drives, etc).
I was wondering if it would be possible to attach a 3G USB modem/data card and make the Internet work without wifi? The 3G data card otherwise requires a bare-minimum wvdial from a normal Linux terminal.
1. Can I get/install the wvdial .deb package on my jail broken iPad?
2. If I can get the package, will this work (wvdial detecting and using the USB modem and connecting through it?), or is it too far out?

No Internet Connection Despite Having A Strong Wifi Connection For IPad 2

My wife's iPad 2 just stopped being able to surf the internet or use apps which require an internet connection. It connects to our home wifi network just fine and shows strong signal strength, but when she goes to use something requiring a connection to the internet, it tells her that she has no connection to the internet.

Suppenly I am unable to get to the internet. My iPad shows I have a Wi-Fi connection but wont connect me th the internet. Any suggestions on what the problem is? 1- Should I reset my Wi-Fi or iPad? If so, how is that done? 2- Can Wi-Fi and Cellular conflict? Can they both be on at the same time?

Hi, I have had a new ipad for two weeks. I am on comcast cable and they gave me a smc wireless router (smcwbr14s-n4) to hook up to my system. Durning certain times of the day it keeps dropping my internet connection. The firmware on the router is dated Dec. 2009. Smc has newer firmware dated Sept. 2010. When I download new firmware it fails to mount. I read on some webpages that smc firmware is best downloaded on a pc with Microsoft OS. Any other ideas. Otherwise I will try the Microsoft OS download.Information : IMAC 2.1GHz, 250 GB HD, 2.5 GB Memory Mac OS X (10.5.8)Ipad, Comcast, 120 GB External FW HD.

I am currently stuck on a location where my iPad 3G connection is working at it's best but there is no other possibility to connect my laptop to Internet due to lack of an available WiFi connectivity.
Is it possible to share my iPad's 3G connection with my laptop?
Usually this technique is called tethering but I have always seen it described between an iPhone ad another device. Never using the data connection of an iPad.

Camera Connection Kit, Photos, And Movies Share

I posted a couple days ago with an issue using the camera connection kit, and have since gone to the Apple Store and gotten a pretty unsatisfying answer, but thought I'd share it here.The Problem I took photos and movies with my Lumix TZ5 camera while on vacation, and popped the SD card into my iPad's Camera Connection Kit. Worked like a charm! Photos and movies transferred, and it was great to be able to show everything off on the beautiful screen. I felt like I was in an Apple commercial.Then I got home, and synced my iPad to iPhoto on my Mac. Worked fine, and I deleted the photos off the iPad (planning to sync them back once I had thrown away duplicates, blurries, etc). Again, worked fine. Movies and photos were fine in iPhoto.

Facetime Kills My Internet Connection - Black Screen - Says It Failed And My Internet Dies

So trying to FaceTime my brother's iPhone4, and everytime it connects, I just see a black screen, and then it says it failed, and my internet dies. Not just on my iPad, but my desktop (which is hooked up via ethernet) and my iPhone wifi die as well. If I DON'T do FaceTime, internet runs fine!

Several times now when I've been in an area without wi-fi I cannot connect to the Internet even though it appears that I have a strong signal (4 bars and 3G showing). I have to disable wi-fi and then turn the iPad completely off, wait a minute and turn it back on to get an Internet connection.

This is the message i get when trying to connect the the web. I have reset the network settings several times and also restarted the ipad.
My Ipad shows good singal stregth.(top lefthand side) In wi-fi settings it shows i am connected to my router. Router singal strength is good.
