Unable To Block Apps/want To Block All Aplication Except One?
Dec 6, 2010I have an iPad that is to be used, among other things, by an autistic boy in school. While he is in school, I would like to be able to block all the apps except the educational one that he is to use in class.Is there any way to block the usage of all apps except for one?

Jun 9, 2010I wonder if anyone else is having the same problem as I am with the youtube application. If I tap on featured, top rated or any of my subscribed content I get a pop up saying youtube not available. I was having broadband speed issues and thought this might be the cause however these have been fixed and still the problem persists. I have tried a reset from settings but that hasn't helped either.
I am using an iPad 32gb on wifi only. If anyone else is having this problem or knows of a fix I would be very interested in any advice you could give.

Unable To Remote Application
Nov 2, 2010I've got the Composite AV Cable, and connected my iPad to it instantly—all I had to do was switch the TV from AV1 to AV4 and I could use the Apple's Video app to drive the TV. Slick. Very nice indeed.
I'd love to be able to control the iPad from my desk or from the couch, though, rather than to have to get up to pause the video playback. A bit of googling didn't turn up very much.
I can control my MacBook Pro from my iPad and iPhone via the iTeleport app—can't I drive the iPad from the iPhone with Apple's Remote app or something similar?

Unable To Run Application Until Reboot
Apr 8, 2010I'm having a problem with running apps on my iPad. Apps that have run before and when I try to run them again, they open and then close immediately without seeing the app start at all. I mean that the screen disappears and then I'm back at the desktop. The only way to 'fix' it is to shut down and start it up again.
I have a 16g. I'm also having the wi-fi issue and am now wondering if they might be related symptoms of something wrong with it. A ghost in the machine? Anyone else having this issue. I did a quick scan of the threads and couldn't come up with anything. I am liking the landscape keyboard a lot more than I thought that I would. I just wish there were direction keys on it.

Jun 4, 2010I love my iPad and have been finding I can do a lot of my normal day to day stuff on it but can't find a decent app that works with Quickbooks data. There are a couple apps that will import 2006 and older, ie.. useless really, Quicken data but nothing updated to work with anything current.

Jul 20, 2010I'm wanting to download some music apps/composing programs and wasn't able to download one because of 3G size/ram restrictions. I don't see any place on the app info site that tells me about the size, so I don't know until I'm actually downloading whether I can download or not. Is there a way to tell the size of the app if it's not posted on the ITune store? I'd rather not do partial downloads. ITunes was kind enough to get rid of Pages and I Am Symphony for me.Another related issue because it's about a music app: It gave me a prompt when I first tried to. use it that I didn't have enough memory. I knew that couldn't be right since I have the 64g/3G/wifi model, so I ditched that app. Is this what you can memory drain? I read about that on this forum? what's the best thing to do for that? restart? or did I do the right thing by ejecting the app? Information : I Mac G5, Intel 24" IMac, 3.0 gigahertz Mac OS X (10.5.6) own FC Studio.

Dec 8, 2010Now whenever I load the Videos app the screen turns black, I left it for a few minutes and still black, I restarted the device and still have the same issue. Worked well before even after the iOS 4.2 update. I'll try to restore when I get home from work.

Jun 22, 2010I have just updated my iPhone and a few apps, including RadioBox, have been updated for iOS4. The problem is that they will not update on the iPad as the version of iOS on the iPad is not up to date (an error message is generated). Hopefully Apple will keep all the versions of iOS in sync in the future. Information : Mac OS X (10.6.3)G4, G5 Towers, G3, G4 and Intel PBs, Time Capsule, Apple TV, iPhone and iPods.

Unable To Restore Purchased Application
Aug 23, 2010Yesterday I updated my Ipad. I made SURE to do the backup first.It said backing up ect....when It asked to restore from backup I said yes...and?....none of my purchase apps appear on my pc, and are gone from the Ipad.
