Unable To Download Books- No Option Available On Itunes
Oct 22, 2010
I was told before I bought my iPad that I would be able to download free apps. that would download books from Amazon and Barnes and Noble. I don't see those apps on iTunes. Was the salesperson mistaken?
I was using iPad 1 and upgraded it to the new version but now encountering a problem while downloading e-book.When I try downloading the E-Book using Safari Browser, it says "Safari can't open the link". I tried this for so many files but the same error comes again and again. What is the problem and how to solve this problem?
I reformatted my computer and reinstalled OS X. When I connected my iPad, iTunes pops up as normal. However, when it says that my iPad can only be synced with one computer (), I told it to transfer purchases. However, it only transfers my books (???) but not my apps.
Now I want to sync some movies into my iPad, but I don't want to because it will mean iTunes will erase all of my apps.
I have about 25 books and PDF's in my iTunes library which are sorted alphabetically in iTunes. However when I sync these books to iBooks on my iPad they appear in random alphabetical order on the iBooks bookshelf. Is there any way of getting iTunes to sync the books/pdf's in alphabetical order when syncing?

All of my Audible and Audio books are synced to my iPad, taking up 16gb of space, but I cannot get them off the device. At first, I did not have ANY music synced - that didn't work, then I tried checking only specific playlists, and that didn't work. I don't want all this space taken up by books I have read already!
I've downloaded a bunch of apps from the iTunes store into iTunes (v10) which is running on my laptop (Win7 x64). When I connect my iPad I can manually transfer music, audio books but I cannot transfer the apps I downloaded. The iTunes account is authorized. What the heck am I doing wrong that I cannot transfer the apps (all of the apps are free apps).

Due to the lack of space, I was not able to download the videos bought on iTunes to my iPad 3. I have deleted most of the unwanted files and folders in my iPad. Still, I canít download the videos. What should I do now?
Installed itunes on windows 7 and synced with ipad 2. Configured my wireless for guest user account and accessing internet no problem. From itunes, I downloaded logmein app (free) and synced. I can see the logmein icon on the desktop but when I click I get the message "unable to download application. Logmein could not be downloaded at this time". I tried downloading another app "autocad WS" and get the same message. Also, I noticed in the itunes "app store", viewing the ipad apps I see the downloads but (installing) is greyed out.
I just thought of an idea.. Its not the nicest thing to do, but:
To save money and keep up with the upgrade process, do you think I would get away with this idea?
I would buy an iPad 2, sell it 2 weeks before the iPad 3 announcement for full retail price, once sold, buy the iPad 2 again and continue using it but return it before the 30 day return policy ends, then buy the iPad 3 and repeat the process?
Im having a very strange problem. I got my IPAD today, running Vista and the latest ITunes software on my desktop.Ive setup everything and everything works perfectly, except for one thing.Im unable to download anything from the Appstore/Itunes on the ipad. I can connect fine. The problem occurs when I click to download an app, and I am then taken to the verification for the itunes account. I get a popup to verify and I enter in the logins and password, and from there....nothing. I know its trying to send to Apple because I did it so many times my credit card company fraud alert group called me.I know the credit card I use is good, I have it linked to three other accounts for the kids ITouches and Ipods, and even had it confirmed as authorized at the CC co. One point, if I remove the CC from my billing profile, Im able to download free apps from the IPAD.
I am using iTunes to download some episodes of a serial. They are shown to be downloaded in 'downloads' section of iTunes, however, when download is completed, m not able to view it or dunno from where to view it.
I purchased three movies on iTunes. One downloaded fine. On two of them I get the message "unable to download".  I have 18 gb of space remaining.  I have tried signing out of iTunes and signing back in and closing the app and reopening it.  Still no success.
I've received a few emails on my iPad through my Gmail account which come up with this message at the bottom of the email: this message is only partially downloaded.I get the option to download remaining but when I select it nothing happens.I've googled this error and seen a lot of people have come across it but couldnt find a solution. Also, I read some people delete the mail account then re-add it. However when I go to my mail settings my gmail account is greyed out too and I can't change anything to do with it and seemingly can't even add another account to my iPad.
I have free apps as well as paid apps that have disappeared from my iPad. When I look them up in the app store they all say installed except for one. None of them have a redownload button. The one that does not say installed has the price in the bar but it is lighter than normal. When I push it nothing happens. It is like they are all in limbo. I contacted customer service and they are refunding my 2 paid apps but I wanted to rebuy them but can't.
i have ordered my new ipad but have not received it yet. can you download books from ibooks and kindle to my itunes before i get it so all i have to do is sync the ipad?, or does the downloads need to go through ipad?
The Newsstand in-app purchasing store has no background download option? Why would they let me babysit a 300-500mb download without being able to do anything else? I just switched to another app and when i switched back to the Newsstand magazine in-app the download went back to 0 again. The same happens when the iPad screen shut's off automatically and when you switch it back on the download is back at 0.
I downloaded a bunch of Kaplan textbooks on my iPhone when they had the free download promo last month. I just bought an iPad and want to download those books again.... will I have to pay, or will they be free, since I 'technically' purchased them previously under the same account? Or is there a way to move the books I downloaded on my iPhone onto my iPad using iTunes?
I bought my wife a new Ipad because she wants to go back to school to finish her bachelor. I figured she can just download her school books and it would be less to carry to around in school. Well, I should have research first, because the books she needs for her school is not available from I books or Kindle.sucks. Anyway, the Ipad is now mine. and I love it.
Our family has had iPhones around for a few years, but I've just bought a couple of iPads for my wife and daughter for Christmas. My wife, I'm sure, will be heavily utilizing the e-book-ness of the device. We're all very new to the iPad. I realize I can go to the iBooks Store and download books from there. I can also install the Amazon Kindle app and download books from the Kindle Store. I know I can sync the iPad on my computer and then sync books to iPad-2 which were purchased on iPad-1. But, what about the Kindle app books. Is there any way to get those from one iPad to the other without repurchase?
