Syncing With With Exchange Server - Requires Password To Continue

Oct 26, 2010

When I got all my email and such swapped over to an Exchange server and then got my iPad syncing up with said server, I was forced to put a passcode and it is turned on.

Am I correct in assuming that I will have to continue to use a passcode for as long as I am syncing with Exchange?

IMAP Still Not Syncing With Exchange Server?

Dec 2, 2010

I have IMAP set up to my company server from the iPad. Reason being so that I can manage emails (delete, move to folders etc) whilst working off-line.

But any changes made via the iPad are not synching and updating on the Exchange Server once back on-line.

Really hoped iOS4 would fix this, but no. This really is the most useless tool for a regular business traveller. Not being able to catch up on email and sort, delete, reply etc on short haul European flights is in-excusable for a 2010 business tool Apple!

Unless I'm missing something??!!

iOS 4

Unable To Verify Exchange Account Password/how To Break The Password Prompt Cycle?

May 28, 2010

I'm unable to successfully create a Microsoft Exchange account on my iPad. The steps I'm following:

1. I enter all data except the domain and save to create the account

2. Turn on the wifi (I was getting a continuous string of "Unable to Verify Exchange Account" cues when I tried to create the account with the wifi on)

3. Once the wifi's on, I receive an "Unable to Verify Certificate" cue, which I accept

4. I'm then asked again to enter my Exchange account password, which I enter and am prompted again for my Exchange account password, which I enter, and so on and infinity.

I've verified all the entered fields (including the password) with my IT folks, including that mobile access to my account is enabled. I know the settings (including the password) should work, because they're the same ones I'm using for Entourage on my MacBook Pro.

Any ideas on how to break the password prompt cycle or alternative account generation methods I could try?

iMac, MacBook Pro, iPad

Delete Mail From It To Exchange Server?

May 21, 2012

I'm a first time poster to this forum and was wanting some help with my work email. Our email is through an exchange server. When we access our emails on the ipad and delete the emails, I would like the copy on the server to stay on there. I know there is an option for regular email to not delete from server. But there isnt an option for this for my exchange email address.

Cancel Send In Progress - Exchange Server

Sep 2, 2010

For whatever reason, smtp.gmail.com doesn't seem to be accessible from my office's network, and sending to gmail fails from the office. However, the iPad has the extremely bad habit of spending all day trying to send via gmail should I have the misfortune to inadvertently attempt to send a message. How can I force it to give up on the gmail messages so it can go on with life, including sending messages via my work Exchange server?

Exchange Account Crashes - Logging Into The OWA Server

Nov 5, 2010

I'm having a problem with getting my company e-mail on my iPad (and iTouch). It's worked flawlessly - until today. I've gotten trapped in an endless "Password Incorrect" loop. I try re-entering the password in settings. I get the "Exchange Account - Unable to verify account information" pop-up. I've tried deleting, rebooting and re-entering the information - I still get the pop-up. I know the password is correct - I've tried logging into the OWA server on my PB - the password works.

Safari Disappears From With Addition Of Exchange Server Email Setup

Nov 25, 2010

After updating the iPad with the new operating system, I noticed Safari disappeared and found no solution. Apple personnel had me restore the iPad system (which wiped out all the settings and caused me to lose numerous documents). But after the restore, I had Safari...until I again set up my email through Exchange Server. I can set up Gmail and my email through MobileMe and there is no problem. But setting up my email from Exchange Server causes Safari to disappear every time. Likewise, if I delete the email from Exchange Server, Safari is suddenly available and working well.

Inbox Blanks Out In Exchange 2003/Connection To Server Failed

Nov 17, 2010

We are running Exchange 2003 and some inboxes keep clearing out and have to reload all the emails based on the setting. This has happened several times on certain iPADs and on multiple ones at the same time.

While the iPAD is on, it throws up an error message that says "Connection to Server failed" and then clears out. This is while connected via WiFi on our local network in the office. This has happened in multiple locations in our company.

Any ideas? I've seen other people have had this problem and the only common item is Exchange 2003.

iPAD 32 GB - 3G
iPhone OS 3.1
