View 3 RepliesI searched but I only saw a 28 page count in a thread called tips and tricks and I did not want to go through all of those for my answer.
I'm trying to wean myself off my laptop and only use it for copying DVD's or converting DVD's to view on the iPad.
One thing it seams I still have to go back to the laptop for is to mark spam emails in my Gmail or Yahoo account so I don't have to see them in my iPad inbox again from the same spammer again.
I'm using pop email accounts currently as I have not had the time to change them over to IMAP. I saved threads on how to do it once I want to spend the effort to convert both accounts.
But for now is there a way on my iPad to indicate an email is spam? I know I can transfer the email to the spam folder but I don't know if that did the trick like it does on my laptop when I make the email spam.
My iPad email account is on our Exchange server. I did some limited testing today which seems to indicate that if I send an email to the trash can on the iPad no entry is made in my Blocked Senders List inside Outlook. The iPad email client seems to only be tossing the message away. Can anyone verify this behavior?

I have the IPad 2 and when I first activated it I chose email forwarding from my then existing other email account. I now wish to undo that and receive my emails separately to each one of these accounts. Since my IPad 2 was set up at the MacTown store I have no idea how to undo this or what to click on.

View 2 Repliesis there anyway I can stop my ipad from flipping to Safari every time I click on a link in an email. I would like to be able to go through all my email and then go to Safari and go through the tabs that have been opened. Currently I click an email, Safari opens, I go back to mail, delete said email, read the next email, repeat.
View 1 RepliesI need to stop email notifications. I have edited my preferences but they keep on coming.
View 2 RepliesI've turned Fetch New Data to Manual. I've also gone to Advanced and made sure that each separate email account is set to Manual and have also turned off Push. However, Mail keeps checking and downloading new emails without me even opening the application. This is kind of annoying and i can't understand why it does this. does anyone have any advice? am i missing a setting that needs to switched on or off?

Whenever I enter the iPad Mail app, it automatically downloads my messages even though I have all my fetch settings set to "manual". Is there a way to disable this? I only want to fetch messages when I say so. For example, in Mac OS Mail, I check my email manually -- when I first launch the Mac OS Mail app, nothing
View 5 RepliesI have my personal Gmail and business email account setup on my iPad.
I also forward all my business account emails directly to my Gmail address. (The good thing about this is that Gmail stores all my emails on their cloud, so I can access it anywhere I go)
Now the only way to reply to an email on my iPad that was sent to my business account, through Gmail, is to create a pop3 version of my business account and switch the "From:" section of the email. So basically, I don't need to check my mail on my business account, its just there so I could use it to reply to emails from my Gmail account.
Is there any way that I can have my iPad NOT check for any mail on my business pop3 account only? I only want my Gmail to be pushed/fetched and not my business account, yet everytime I open the mail.app, it checks for mail on both accounts. (I set the business pop3 account to "manual")
Is it possible to remove email addresses and the auto fill feature on my iPad2? I have friends who have changed their emails or people I no longer speak to and don't want the addresses coming up.
