Apr 15, 2012I have a 3g apple ipad and I can't send text messages with it what do i need to do?

May 6, 2012When I try to send a text message using my new iPad to anyone that does not have a apple devise either there name is in red saying its not registered or the send button is grayed out. How can I fix this issue?
I have rebooted the devise and I have turned off the iMessage either way I still can't send text messages to people that I can using mybiphone.
