View 5 RepliesI tried to update my iPad to iOS 4.2.1, but after I downloaded the update, it said it was verifying the update with Apple, and continued to do this for several minutes, then it said Apple's servers could not be reached. It then put my iPad into recovery mode, and told me I had to restore it, which I've tried to do multiple times, but all with the same result. Is there anything I can do?

Every time I try to & I get the following message: Cannot send mail A copy has been place in your outbox. The recipient ........... was rejected by the server because it does not allow relaying"
I really don't know what this means or how I can rectify it.
My ipad 2 suddenly started saying 'cannot connect to server' after not being used for a few hours, although in settings it is connected. iPad works fine other than wi fi. My iphone and laptop can both get internet.
I have tried
-turning ipad off and on again
-unplugging wi fi and re starting
-using 'forget this network' and rejoining

I can receive emails on my ipad but can't send emails. My email is through godaddy.com for work. It's funny because I set my iPad up the same way as my iPhone and my iPhone works fine but my iPad doesn't. I'm getting the error message: The receipient tracy@mapcohawaii.com was rejected by the server.

Can read my emails and send emails to myself but not to anyone else. I looked on settings and all the email stuff is greyed out so I can't modify anything in the settings.
View 1 RepliesI see that on SMTP and IMAP servers the emails I send from my iPad are only available on my iPad and are not copied/available on the server. In other words, if I send an email from my GMail account using my iPad, I can see the email in the SENT folder on my iPad. However, it is not available on GMail when I log-in through the web.
I checked a couple of GMail accounts and a Yahoo account. They all behave the same way. If it is of importance, I have an iPad2 with IOS 4.3.3.
I'm having an issue with my iPad using up too much of my diskspace as all the e-mails seem to be getting stored there rather than being deleted from the server when the iPad received them as happens when you open Outlook on a PC. I've set it up using POP3 and also tried IMAP but it hasn't solved the problem.
View 1 RepliesI cannot seem to send emails anymore. I get a message that says the recipient was rejected by the server. I have checked my settings and they appear to be ok.

I get a message showing up saying, they can't download to server?
I want to ask a question about the e mail messages. Some messages are not downloaded from the server. I can not find out why.
View 3 RepliesI don't want to delete emails from the server when using my iPad. I have more than one account for emails. With account #1 under "advanced", "incoming settings", I have "delete from server" set to "never". Under account #2 under "incoming settings" there is no choice "delete from server". This is the account of I lose my emails from the server while account #1 they stay there. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

View 7 RepliesWhen I send emails through Hotmail from my ipad, they are delivered ok to the other party, but there is no record when I check Hotmail "sent items" on my PC. How can I get "sent" to sync with the Hotmail server so I can see emails I have sent from my ipad?
