Screen Keeps Acting Like It Has Been Touched And Opens Random Apps
Feb 7, 2012
I already had to have my screen replaced once. The apple store did it for free. However 3 months later (I had a Rubber case on the back and a smart cover on the front) the ipad screen cracked again.. in my work bag. I would just ignore the crack, but the screen keeps acting like it has been touched and opens random apps. What I need is a reliable inexpensive 3rd party to either: send my ipad2 into and have it back within 5 days, or a place local to Philadelphia.
If the iPad has slept for a while, and I open up the smart cover, it will sometimes come to life with a dimmed screen. As soon as I touch it, normal brightness is resumed. I can't consistently recreate this - I think it has to have been asleep for a while, and I think it only happens with the smart cover.
The Touch Screen Is Locked When Not Touched For Few Seconds?
Apr 22, 2010
I've a problem with my iPad, buyed last week in Miami: when i don't touch the screen while a few seconds, is impossible to do anything because the screen don't recognice my finger; then I close the iPad and if I torn on another time it run ok for a few seconds. After a time of doing that, is the same but then for more time. What can I do?
Unable To Fix A Strange Sound Coming From The Screen If Touched
Aug 21, 2010
When i press little bit hard on the centre or left side of the ipad screen, strange knock knock sound comes out of it. Probably digitizer touches lcd screen itself. Touchscreen and everything seems working properly, no abnormality in function. This problem i've observed right after that i misspressed it with my arm when i was trying to sit in my car. (ipad was in the car, i didnt notice.)
Now my questions are: is it really serious problem? Do i need to get lcd screen and digitipzer changed? I dont live in u.s so it is a problem for me to get it fixed. Can i fix it myself? Is it easy to dismount the screen and analyze for problems?
Home Screen Safari Opens Up And Just Get A Blank Screen
Jul 30, 2011
When I open safari by touching the icon in the bottom left of the home screen safari opens up and I just get a blank screen. I know it's not an Internet problem as other apps are working fine.
I keep getting random crashes that go to a blue screen. The only way out is to hard restart (press shutdown and home button down for at least 10 seconds).
I've tried update and restore but the problem persists.
Got ipad back last week ipad3 16gb and apple repair said it was fine but fault came back the night i recieved it! the problem is a random black screen any ideas? it got sent back to repair today with video evendice on the pad.
Started out infrequently but now very frequent: When opening a new link or app screen goes black then opens up to home page with all my icons. Have to re-open app to get back to where I was. Annoying at first but irritating as now.
Intermittently, when I open the camera on my Ipad2 the screen is just black rather than showing what the lens is pointing at. If I press the button, I hear a click like it is taking a picure, but nothing shows on the screen. The lens is not covered! sometimes the problem clears up on its own.
IPad :: Mail App Opens With Welcome Screen To Set-up Account
Aug 30, 2014
My iPad Mail app opens with the welcome screen to set up a new account as if I am using it for the first time. When I try to set up my iCloud mail account it tells me that account is already added, but won't let me past the welcome screen.
I will have my iPad in sleep mode and then I'll look over and it has the apple logo on it. I simply hold down the power button and it comes right back to the lock screen.
why occasionally iTunes decides to re-install ALL applications in my library back onto my iPad & re-order everything even after I have manually unchecked them in the app layout settings months ago and have sync'd countless times prior to it randomly deciding to do this? It just happened again and its beginning to make me angry at this point. I have around 200 applications, and around 75 of those are on my iPad. Every once in a while iTunes seems to forget this and randomly scrambles up all my apps and re-installs them all. I end up having to painstakingly re-remove the 100+ apps I DON'T want on my iPad then painstakingly attempt to re-order the 75 apps I do want back into the order I had them previously...
I plugged my iPad into my Mac to do a slow charge and sync, but when I unplugged it about an hour later, i found that many of my apps, seemingly at random, were uninstalled. I am the only person that uses my Mac, it was in front of me the whole time, I did not tell iTunes to specifically remove any apps.
what really bugs me is that Bento and all of the iWork apps were uninstalled, and with them, apparently, all of the documents that I had on the device.
I do sync Bento with the desktop version, so I "should" only be out 2 or 3 records that I added today. However, the fact that all of those apps just vanished for no reason really concerns me for using this device in ANY professional manner.
with my original iPad 1 and after the ios 5.1 upgrade in particular I sometimes had the occurrence of apps simply 'quiting' for no reason. Via the iPad forums board I picked up that memory shortage was probably the case and a reset would resolve the issue.
One of the upgrades with new iPad but no often referenced is that it has double the on board chip memory (from 512Kb to 1Gb) from iPad 2 (and 4 times more than the original iPad).
However the other days I had some random 'quits' on new iPad with "Ice Age Village" app.
I assume this may be a random app glitch rather than any sort of memory issues but interested to learn if any other new iPad users have had similar with this or other apps.
I have been having a problem with my jail broken iPad 2 when a new app installed I keep getting a few random apps appearing-on my springboard, I have attached a picture to show
