i got the 64gb 3g ipad from the US however when trying to enter the wifi address on the ipad into my router, it doesnt accept it. is there anyway i can find a wifi address that will work as i havent got money to purchase a 3g card yet.
wifi on my ipad kept dropping and than complety dropped. Re-entered home wifi info, but did not fix. Then went to Settings - General and did reset all settings. Wifi still does not work so I cannot restore from iCloud so and I have to restore from iTunes backup: the screen keeps showing connect to iTunes. However, I do see in the left top corner that it is syncing.
I bought an ipad series 1 two weeks ago and connected successfully to my home router (netgear DG834G V2) now when I try to connect, the ipad with signal fan appears in the top left of ipad, it says my routers name in the wifi section of settings. But, as soon as I try to connect to the internet via Safari, the message 'cannot open page because it is not connected to the internet', appears.
trying to connect to home wifi (verizon dsl) but it say 'can not connect to the network'. I tried many different ways,,,changed network names, WEP, no WEP, my laptop and my old itouch connects well according whatever the change I make with network with or without Secrity codes. My ipad detects the network name but doesn't get connected with or without security..took it work today it works fine here. Entered the password, boom. I guess it's more of my DSL modem setting, I log into the router website but nothing I can changed around.
Ive done everything etc with reseting the ipad and the networks settings for some reason my wifi wont connect to my Ipad 3 i put in the right SSID in. and the right password.. and i have done everything Apple have told me.. and it still dont work. i dont know how to fix this at all.. on my Iphone it works perfect. but not the ipad.
I can use my hotspot on my iphone. No problem. But my wireless router isn't even showing up on the ipad settings. Only sometimes it will appear. If it does show up it doesn't allow the password to be accepted. I tried resetting the router and updating the software. After I did that the router doesn't even register on my ipad now. I know my router is working because it is working on my other items throughout the house.
Unable to connect my ipad to home wifi. although other devices are connecting to the wifi. it searches for the wifi but does not connect to the same. also, i am unable to login to my itunes. is there any relation in between?
since the last few days i am trying to update my ipad to ios 5.1 but a message appears that network connection is not available.
I recently got my ipad mini retina display. I did all the normal set up...ok this is where it doesn't make sense here. I went to setting and turn on wifi. The wifi pick up my home network and as I click on it, i input the password. So I assume its ok now I'll be able to get on wifi with no problem. Sadly that is not the case. My home network keep loading and loading and it won't connect to my home network.
I-PAD Mini fails to connect to WIFI home network using U-Verse. Several laptops and other devices have no problem connecting using the key for a WPA2-Personal secured connection. I have tried automatic and manual, (192.168.1.254), connection but I-PAD Minis fail to connect, (two different I-PADS Mini). I also spent about an hour online with I-PAD support but they were unable to supply a resolution.
I bought a new IPAD yesterday. I cannot get it to connect to my home Wifi. I have a Netgear MR814v2 wireless router. I tried disabling the password on the router and still no luck. My work computer (a pc) has no trouble connecting.
On my iPad (the New iPad), I tried to connect to my home wifi. But I turned on the wifi, then it's showing a loading sign on side of the wifi name. Also, beside the left corner of the top black bar, the wifi sign is not showing. I've tried to restart the device, reset the wifi, reboot, or restart my wifi modem. The iPad's wifi connection works well other than my home wifi.
My iPad suddenly will not connect only to my home wifi. I have restarted router and iPad numerous times. The iPad quickly acquires other public sites. Three other apple devices we use and our PC continue to connect successfully to the home wifi (Linksys EA 6500).
i have had my ipad for a week and it worked flawlessly that whole time. i connected to my wi-fi network at home and at the hotel where i'm currently staying. all of a sudden last night it would no longer connect, i get an error message. i left it off overnght but this morning the same thing happens. i tried presing the home button and the top button at the same time powering off and letting it sit. then i restored it through itunes. neither thing worked. it sees the network but won't connect. my mbp is connected to the same network just fine. what else can i do? i am out of town and not sure there is an apple store near me as i'm kinda in the sticks right now. i don't want to use up my 3g cell minutes everytime i want to use my ipad, as i've gotten used to using it for everything while i'm watching hulu on my computer.
I have a cable modem and Netgear wireless router on the second level of my home. All of our wireless devices, which includes an iMac, Kindle Fire, PC laptop connect to our wireless network, except for our 2 iPads. When we are on the same level with the modem and router, most of the time we don't have a connection, and when we do it's spotty and slow. As a matter of fact, I reset the iPads network and when I tried to join our wireless network it didn't even show up in the list. The strange thing is when we are on the lower level, the level without the modem and router, then we can connect.Every other device has no problem on the same level as the modem/router.
I have just returned from holiday in italy where i was using the hotels wi fi, used flight mode on the plane home, got home and my i pad still thinks it is in rome (time) and will not connect to my home network?
I just got my Ipad and love it. I have the wi-fi model. I currently use a wireless router in my house and my Iphone connects no problem. The icon on the Ipad comes up showing I have wifi but it wont connect to the internet. Im sure im missing something basic. The manual did not help.
Hotel- Orange county- connects, but drops connection
Hotel San Diego- could not sign in
San Diego airport- connects, but must sign in repeatedly
Back home to Mexico
Gateway 2 wire adsl-wep- connects right away but drops connection, prompts for password after less than a minute.
I tried all the work arounds that have been provided on this and other sites, nada-nothing.
Went to car wash, Ipod signs right in(has worked everywhere), Ipad no, after 25 minutes of screwing with everything, I got connected, but it kept dropping connection and prompting for password.
Filed report with Apple April 27
Had a friend bring over different router/modem-b/g, changed to wpa and all other work arounds, nothing different, dropping always, or not connecting.
May 3, I re-connected my original Gateway 2 wire-wep- same issues-, and also ordered a Netgear N router/modem from the States, still waiting for it.
Up until May 29 I checked this message board daily, hoping for Apple to have a WiFi fix, or at least make some more comments regarding this issue, nothing Except for continued cheers from the fan boys and girls who for the most part seem to have no issues at all, and still insist that this is only happening to a very small number of Ipad owners(a very small percentage of a couple of million units is a lot in my opinion), and saying that the rest of the world needs to change to be able to use our Ipad's as promoted. I won't start on about 3g and At&T.
Back to last week, May 29, after being more than a little frustrated again from dropping connections I made some changes- I again tried forget network- and now my IP address is set to DHCP- HTTP Proxy is off- and I put my Auto-Brightness BACK ON, and my blue brightness bar is set to about 20%, about 1 inch of blue is showing.
Since I made those changes, I have not been prompted 1 time for my password, I have also not dropped any connections. I do not know if this is part of why it is working now, but when I open with the home button, if I go straight to my email or safari, there is no connection, I then go back to home and wait maybe 30 seconds, when I then re-open either safari or email, I am connected??? I also now hit the home button before I put it to sleep, I only know that it has seemed to work for over 1 week now, I use it 5-6 hours everyday, and turn it on and off all day long also, and it always connects, and without a password. I am currently afraid to take my Ipad away from my house, now that it is working, but I will try this week, since I purchased this so I could take it anywhere and leave my laptop at home.
My ipad is not turning on , i did press home button and top but together to reset but it dint turn on also i hold top button for 3 sec and then hold home button ,but dint turn on either what else i can do to turn my pad mini back on.
I want to set up my aging iPad 2 as new to see if that works with the constant pausing the device does. My problem is I have several folders with Safari bookmarks that I can't lose. Am I going to have to save them to corresponding bookmark folders in Safari then resave them to my desktop, which sounds like a PIA, or is there another way? Is there a way to easily save those so I can put them back when I re-set up my device?
