hoe to remove the sound icon. I cannot get audio. This icon is sitting in the middle of my screen. I have rebooted my system several times, but it's still there.
View 2 RepliesI know how to reposition icons. But I've forgotten how to remove them.
View 2 RepliesHope this finds everyone in good health and spirits. My "problem": Upon awakimgiPad the first display is that of the Password display. However, the iPhoto icon is shown in which it is accessible to anyone without having to use the password!? How can I protect move this icon button so that any access must be through the password security?

Suddenly my iPad is not responding as before. It is acting like a regular desktop window manager!
Now, when I touch an app icon, the icon is selected. A thin line appear around the icon, like it would be on a normal desktop window manager. Then to launch the app I have to double click. The strange thing is that even if I double click somewhere else, it's the selected app that is launched. It's exactly the same for the virtual keyboard. One click select the key, two clicks (anywhere) press the key.If I swipe one finger left, the icon to the left is selected (and vis-versa).What the ****? Is this a secret features I have somehow activated? Is there any simple way to go back to the good-ol' multitouch interface?
I have tried to shut down and reboot the ipad (home-click+power 5sec). Nothing works.

I had some unknown issue trying to purchase and download an application onto my ipad. Ultimately, I got it worked out somehow but there is a blank icon left on my display with the title 'loading...' underneath it. The app was successfully installed and it's icon works just fine. I synched with iTunes on my Mac yesterday, hoping that would result in the icon being removed but it is still there. The blank icon doesn't appear in the Apps page under iTunes after the synch completed.
How can I get rid of it?

Just started using mail in the new ipad and see an icon in the inbox on the left handside in between the move icon and the reply icon. What is it and what does it do to a file? I clicked an old email on it and it seemed to have stored it or did it delete it.

When I try to type my name in most documents, it is auto corrected to "Mike Ethan" this is not close to my name and it is annoying to have to remove the autocorrection.. I found the instructions for removing a word from the dictionary but the instructions are incorrect as there is no field in the general page of Setting/keyboard corresponding to "modify dictionary".

View 2 RepliesI don't want to have every app I buy (especially the big ones) kept on my already-crowded iTunes host - I just want them on my iPad.When I try to delete an app from iTunes it says the app will also be removed from my iPad next time I sync. I don't want that. If I delete it from iTunes, the next time I sync it says that I'd better transfer the app back to iTunes, otherwise it'll be removed from the iPad. I don't want that.Is this really how it works, or am I missing the way to remove from iTunes without removing from the iPad?
View 9 RepliesI have have my iPad for about 3 months and love it. I have read some articles on how people are now traveling without their laptop and strictly using the iPad. I would like to be one of those people but can't seem to cut the cord. If you are one of the many who have accomplished this can you give me some guidance. Additionally I was wondering how most of you are carrying your device? Are you using a sleeve, folio or any other device? The reason I ask that question is that I want to protect my device but may consider using a wireless keyboard or the one with the dock attached and many of these cases are not conducive to removing the iPad.
