I've been using Text+ to send and receive free text messages almost a week now. I am so impressed that I decided to buy the ad free version. It works exactly like the free version but minus the ads.I love the interface. It looks similar to iChat or like the messaging app on my iPhone. And best of all you get FREE unlimited texts!
When i try to add the email address for text messages. It sends a text message to my phone for validation, but the link is too long so it doesn't work. I tried cut/paste and forwarding but still not working.
I am curious why more of a stink is not being raised about the sketchy Wifi found on the ipads? I have many devices connected to my wireless router among them two Mac books, an iPod touch, a G1, blackberry, Wii, Ps3, and a printer, so at this point I feel confidant I have mastered the art of connecting to Wifi. Why does Apple have the audacity to suggest router issues or many of the other user unfriendly ideas to fix the Ipad connection issues? Further more why when I receive multiple "drop" messages during use does it fix the drop if I switch airplane mode on then off if it is a router issue? I have a hard time believing that everyone else is ok dropping just under $800 for this sub par piece of electronics and receiving half truths as to the real issues and hopefully fixes to this problem. I have multiple MacBooks, an iPod nano, iPod touch, and now an ipad so I feel I am a loyal customer and ask Apple to please reward my loyalty with an honest fix to this problem.
I have a wifi only iPad can I send text messages from it ? I would think that because it doesn't have a sim card I cannot send text messages to other mobile phones but what about iMessages to other iPhones ? Is there a way to send messages to both?
I'm considering getting a 3G iPad, but I have a few questions:- Can I send/receive SMS messages on it- Can I make/receive voice calls on it?Also, I know that iPad currently has no multi-tasking, but can I run a download manager app, set it to download from my 3G internet connection, and then put it to standby and just keep it in my bag while it downloads stuff? Or does that count as multi-tasking?
I'm new to iPads, and love my iPad 3. However, when I'm out of range of (or have disabled) wifi, and I'm using a cellular connect, I cannot send or receive emails. No other trouble accessing the internet using cellular. As soon as I enable wifi, I can send and receive emails.

I was sitting and watching tv with my iPhone in hand(4) the other day and no messages were coming in which I thought was strange cause someone always seems to be trying to get me but the phone was clear. I sat for a while and then went up to get my iPad so I walked upstairs, unplugged my now fully charged iPad, and saw that my girlfriend had been sending me messages via her iPad all morning! Why didn't these messages come to my iPhone? Can I eat iPad messages on my iPhone? Or is it like the "messages" on iPhone are just for texts and the "messages" on iPad are just to use between iPads? I have the iPad 1 and the iPhone 4 ( so old fashioned)
When I receive a message on my iPhone via text or iMessage, will it also send a copy to my iPad? If so is there a way to disable this? I see it can be turned off under settings, is there a way to use the service with a different account on the iPad?†
Apple.com states the following:" If you choose the 250MB plan, you?ll receive onscreen messages as you get close to your monthly data limit so you can decide whether to turn off 3G or upgrade to the unlimited plan."If you choose the 250MB for $15 and receive a message that you are about to go over your limit, if you decide to upgrade for the $30 unlimited will it be an extra $15 for the upgrade?Or another $30 and your month would start from that day?
