View 9 RepliesHi, am using my iPad for the past 3 months. I have a small query to be solved with my iPad, yes it is to know the security option in my iPad. Is there any way to lock my iPad lock screen with the security code option. I need to lock it for the privacy purpose, so do let me know the complete procedure for activating the security code option in my iPad.I would really appreciate all your valuable ideas.

When i click on INSTALL, a windows pops up asking me to 'improve security and set up my 3 security questions'. When i try to set them up, it gets stuck on the 3rd question. I have only had my I pad since Monday and I absolutely love it. I use it like a mini laptop. I do a lot of online shopping paying bills etc and was wondering if there is a firewall program already installed. If not is there something I can download for security.
I am not technical at all so if someone could give me an easy explanation I would really appreciate it.
What is the implication of the security breach reported at http://gawker.com/5559346/ for our iPad's? Is there any direct action we should take right now to protect our equipment and accounts?
Information:
MacBook Pro 17"
Mac OS X (10.6.3)
Security ipad or osx? Running a mac 10.6.3 with all software up to date. Ipad arrives soon. The ipad is a very closed platform. Hard to install a key logger or bad scripts? Seems like a safer route for secure online banking.

Mac OS X (10.6.3)
What is the web security for the Ipad?
View 2 RepliesI'm not super knowledgeable about such things, but would the Safari browser on the iPad be considered among the most secure environments for surfing the web around? I know I've heard things like that said about the iPhone browser before, and I'd assume it's the same for the iPad, but what makes them so secure?I really do like that aspect of these devices. The fact that they are such closed environments, I know there is so much less risk and worry about various internet viruses and spyware.
View 3 Repliesi work at a high school that is going to be using some ipads as learning tools and we need to ensure they dont disapear. Does anyone know of any security cable we could use for them? we are looking to do something like what the apple store has set up with their ipads on display
View 3 RepliesSorry if this has been posted but I could not find it.
Issue: several people in the household want to use the iPad. I need to keep my email secure for work reasons and so kids do not accidentally delete something. Is there a way to password protect the Mail program so that I am the only one with access? I cannot find this option in the settings and if I try to go to me.com via the web, it prompts me to set up an account on the iPad. If this cannot be accomplished in the settings, does anyone know of an app that can do this?

View 2 RepliesOk so I'm sure people are going to rant and rave about the whole ipad idea is mobility blah blah blah but is there a case out yet that would allow the ipad to be anchored in any way like a kensigton lock? My idea for this would be like waiting areas with a few ipads for people to check their email and such while they wait.
